We just had both last week. We were disappointed in Yak and Yeti lunch. While we preferred Kona breakfast, I wasn't really impressed with the Big Kahuna. I did, however, love the pancakes that came with it and wish I would have gotten the macadamia pancakes instead of it. Dh and I split our meals. He got the Tonga Toast and it was just too sweet for him. I liked it but 1/2 of it was still a bit too much sugar for me!

mmmmm, we might try to slide in for Kona at breakfast while we're there. The Samoan has been calling my name for the last 2 years, ever since I read about it in a dining review.
I'm sure you'll enjoy either, not a decision I'd like to have to make! |

I also say go for both and pay for Kona OOP.
I think their meals are large enough to share even if you want to be cost effective. Captain Cook's TT is good but Kona's is better IMO and if you like coffee, you gotta have the Kona blend to complete the breakfast! Alex9179, I like the Somoan! It's my personal favorite overall at Kona (for breakfast). Sometimes I must admit, it's better at times than others, but a unique breakfast offering!

Both are great!!! I agree that you should go to Kona since you are staying at the Poly; however, breakfast can be cheap and I would keep both and pay OOP for Kona.
