Dream - 5 nighter Jan. 3

Our server was I Made from Bali and Joy from Trinadad was his assistant. He was great....made oragami flowers for us...even did some simple magic tricks. Very good server. Joy....was a mature lady and quite shy and quiet, not as talkative as I Made.

We sailed July 29. We had Mihaly C (Hungary) and Chris P (Jamaica). The last night we had a new trainee, Sebastian from Canada. They were all good, but being our first cruise and our family being pretty easy going.. I don't know how they compare to anyone else. Mihaly was difficult to understand at times, as well as seeming to be a little unfamiliar with American "teen speak" (good lesson for my kids, however.. in using proper English and making sure they were polite enough to be understood!) Chris was very funny and kept my kids laughing. Sebastian spent a lot of time flirting wit my 18yo daughter. Mihaly said he was staying on the Dream, Chris said he would be moving to the Fantasy.

We only saw and spoke to our head server twice. Once the first night, and once the last (when he was collecting his gratuities). He did seem to be spending a LOT of time at the table next to ours, however.

Sailing On The Fantasy

We will be sailing on the Fantasy for the 2nd time this December. On our first Disney cruise, we had an extraordinary and brilliant time. However, since it was our 3rd Disney cruise, we knew what to expect as far as service goes. The first two nights of our 7 night cruise fell short. It pains me to say it because I LOVE Disney. It's not that our servers were bad, they just weren't Disney-esque. And I had waiting and longing to be treated special by Disney. So we changed servers and everything worked out well. A very happy ending.

With that being said we want to make sure we get excellent servers from the get-go. Can anyone make any recommendations for Servers to request our December sailing on the Fantasy? Thank you.

Pretty sure he's on the Dream (per the poser who cruised 6/29) and the one asking is on the Fantasy.

We had Grace from Jamaica on January 31, 2013 on DCL Dream. I have sailed 4 times since and attempted to ask for her and she doesn't appear to be on. Has anyone seen her on any ship?

TIA

My wife has a gluten allergy. KIAT was our server on our Dream cruise a couple of weeks ago. He worked closely with the chef, and my wife got delicious, well seasoned meals that were the envy of not only the other guests around us, but also much of the wait staff. His assistant was I. Gede and our head waiter was Joyce. Both did excellent jobs.

We had taken our grandchildren on their 1st cruise, and requested that in place of the bread that is usually on the table, that some grapes, carrot sticks, and tomatoes be there [so the kids wouldn't fill-up on bread, rather than eat the "good" food]. This was done. When the kids tried my escargot, and liked them, Kiat went and got them their own order. He has been with Disney for 12 years, and no request was either too big, or too small.

Bump. Who are the dining servers that are currently on the Dream that you would highly recommend? Thanks!

I would highly recommend Pogi from Hungary or Kemar from Jamaica. We have had both numerous times and have a hard time choosing which one to get each time so we alternate. The one we don't get always comes over to visit near the end of the service of some of our meals to see how we are doing. Can't recommend these guys enough.

We sailed on the Dream 1/2-1/5 and Branko from Serbia was our server. He was so much fun! He brought us every dessert and dish to try during every meal. He cut up my son's food and attempted to feed him broccoli... He is heading home in a few weeks for his 8 weeks off and then he is back.
