Any recommendations for All Star Music?

My husband and I are going to WDW for 3 days in Nov and staying at CSR. We also want to go for a couple of days in Dec. to see the lights but the prices for the moderates are rather high at that time. We are thinking about staying at All Star Music for 2 nights but are not sure how we will like a value resort. Would anyone recommend a value vs moderate for 2 adults for 2 nights?

Well it depends in what you can afford. We've stayed at all of the values. We really enjoyed All of them. There are a couple of bad experiences through the years but overall the values are fine if that what you can afford.

If you can swing the moderate, I say go for that. But my philosophy is; better to stay at a value in order to afford a WDW trip than not going at all.

I don't eat onions-they squelch when you bite into them
I don't eat raisins-they look like dried up bugs
Can we say food issues?

My first stay was at ASMu and since I needed to add two nights to the end of my trip and the mods/deluxes were so high on short notice, I added AsMu to the end of my next trip.

I liked the resort well enough but I'm a solo. The values have double beds...granted you might get two of them....but if you want to sleep together you might upgrade and ask for a King, you might not get it but it's better than a double.

What are your intentions of this quick trip?
Do you plan on spending a lot of time at the resort? Or do you plan on being in the parks all day?

If you plan on staying in the parks all day, I recommend All Star Music! I stayed here in June for two nights. I would definitely stay here again. (Hopefully over the Holidays!)

If you plan on being at your resort for most of the time, I recommend a Moderate. Moderates have more to offer.

My husband is nixing the value idea. He doesn't think we will like it so we're going for the moderate.

I just booked All Star music for 1 night at the start of my trip. I was looking at airfare and it was cheaper to fly in a day earlier and pay for a value..yay for another Disney day and trying out a new resort

I personally love the value resorts. But I don't spend time in my room, relaxing by the pool, or use a spa.

Since you are going to stay at the moderate, you might just stop at one of the value resorts on your visit and check them out for a future trip. Most people have told me (and posts I have seen on the boards) say there is not much difference between the two types.
