Cost of showers
I am wondering how much the showers cost at Fort Wilderness and is the water actually hot?

Camping at Fort Wilderness is not like camping at any other place. Great comfort stations, clean and cool during the hot summer season. Go and enjoy. http://www.wdwinfo.com/images/smilies/cool1.gif

Thank you AuntBJ. I am currently planning on a ten day visit the first two weeks of February. I have been to Disneyland many times but never to DW. I am really anxious.

No, there is no cost at all for the showers.
Although for what we pay for the sites, it's a good thing they are free! ![]() Bama ED

I wonder why anyone would say they had to pay for showers? That seems crazy to me! FW definitely has free showers!

I recently went to Alaska for a few weeks (to the miltiary base) but the folks working with me there explained some of the local businesses. There are dry cabins in Alaska (no running water) so every so often the dry cabin residents come out of the mountain areas and go to the laundry mat to do their laundry and take their showers. You do pay to use the showers there. So maybe it is not so far fetch of an idea.

Vermont state parks have pay showers, and I remember paying somewhere else as well...maybe at a SP in IN, PA? Oh, I believe they have pay showers at a SP we go to in NY. Anyway, they're not totally unheard of, but Disney definitely has free and hot showers at the Fort

I live in my RV full time and I have been to many RV parks. Most have free showers. Some charge between a quarter and a few dollars for a shower and some don't have showers at all.

Needless to say we now only stay in PA state parks that have free showers and I have never had issues with the amount of hot water. Also much better sites and cheaper.
