Traveling advice

My husband and I are from Louisiana and are going to Disney April 2013 from a Sunday to Saturday. We are thinking about heading to Orlando the Saturday before our check in and staying outside of Orlando so that Sunday we are able to go to a park and not be exhausted from an 11 hour drive. Does anyone know what cities are along that route close to Orlando? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

We always drive down early and stay in Kissimmee at Celebration Suites next to Old Town. Because our drive is 36 hours total, we break it into 2 days and so on the 2nd day we arrive after supper and then go next door to Old Town and walk there a bit. Next day we stroll over to Disney. Oh how I wish we just needed to drive 11 hours
