Cool! I remember the lake. I remember the tunnel. I do not remember the soccer field and that cool picnic area. I love how many fish you were able to catch.

Your fishing trip looked fun !! My kids would love that !!
I have a fun little story. DH goes to a place in Virginia every July for a huge church charity fish fry that his family has been participating in for over 20 years. After DH's father passed away, he kind of took his spot and carries on the tradition. Anyway, it is in the mountains and there is a mountain stream at the campground that always has some great rainbow trout. Well DS and several of the kids were playing in the stream one year and DH heard a commotion while they were cooking and someone comes running out to say that DS had caught a rainbow trout - BARE HANDED. Everyone was so excited and DH was so proud I wanna say DS was 9 or 10 at the time. He and the kids were playing in the stream and a trout wandered by them and DS was able to force it towards the side of the stream and was able to get up under it and flip it up onto the bank. Therefore officially catching it bare handed.

Great post! You made even fishing really interesting!
It seems like the two of you had a great time on that excursion and it certainly was great for James that he could get so much attention from the teacher. |

what a fun excursion and great CM! I admit, I'm amazed at the success rate, had I known that, the boys may have wanted to try it. Very fun that you guys did different things than we did, makes for a fun comparison.
I like that tunnel, didn't see the picnic area, that's pretty neat over there.

Potentially? You got a call from the front desk, didn't you?

All caught up!
The early-morning pictures of the ocean are beautiful - so peaceful. And I enjoyed the tour of the resort. It looks like such a fun place. I always enjoy a good George Costanza reference, so kudos on that one! What a fun excursion the fishing was! I can't believe how many fish they caught. |
