Actually, 95% of everything has been confirmed. I am waiting for the T/A to return from vacation, so I can make sure my information is correct, before posting online.

The situation at hand is ... normally ... most group rates are based upon getting at least 8 rooms booked for a single night. In this instance, we'd prefer for the hotel to honor the 8 rooms for at least two days prior to embarkation (to allow people to spend an extra night in Miami).

Stay tuned ... or ... feel free to post a Question, or send me a PM.

Link to Miami information, and Orlando shuttle / transfer

General information about the Miami area:
http://www.miamibeach411.com/

For those who may be interested in traveling between Orlando and Miami (after cruise, or before), I found this bus / van shuttle information. I have no financial interest, or any experience with this company.

B2B cruisers

For those on the 5/2 and 5/6 Back-to-Back cruise who may be interested in hopping off the ship for a little time in Miami, I am told it is a short taxi ride to Bayside, or Downtown Miami ... while Miami Beach and South Beach are farther away.

Bayside Marketplace is very close to the port, has shops and restaurants (Bubba Gump, Hard Rock Cafe, Hooters and many more) as well as harbor cruise options. Does anyone have interest in hopping off the ship ... either to meander around the Marketplace, or take a harbor cruise?

Have you looked in the FAQ sticky under Port Canaveral info and clicked on the link to Shirley's Helpful Hints? She has lots of info for the Port Canaveral info and if you don't see anything in the first post of that thread I'm sure you could contact her and see if she knows of a company looking for the transfer option you are interested in.

The link wasn't intended for Port Canaveral ... I posted it in this thread, as I thought some may be interested in a pre-cruise stay at WDW (and hence, need to get to Miami, for the cruise). I'm confused ... are you trying to get from Port Canaveral to Miami?

I'm sure she is - She lives near there in the winter.

Thanks = I found that sticky and looked up the car rental prices. I did not realize it would cost so much to rent a car from Port Canaveral to Miami- around $425. Yes Steven we are looking from there to Miami. We are actually in Merritt Island, FL Hopefully we can find something a little cheaper.

I have noticed that many people have done this particular cruise before. We've been to Castaway Cay, and Cabo so know what we will be doing there. PV we will just stay on the ship. But Columbia is a new area. Any suggestions.

You have no choice with SW, they only fly into Fort Lauderdale.

Sorry did not word that very well. Since we will be flying into FL I am trying to figure out if staying in Fort Lauderdale would be the best situation or would we be better off going into Miami and being closer to the port. Basically is there a really nice resort in either area.
