I bought this http://www.amazon.com/Mr-Root-Beer-H...eer+making+kit today..it is a kit for making your own root beer at home. I'll probably give it to my 10 year old niece, since she and her Dad do a lot of different kinds of cooking. I got it at BJs, and it was $14.99 I think it is exactly the same as this kit that Amazon is selling for $27.99

I was in Target today looking for ideas for my dd's birthday next month. I saw a few Furby's marked down to $27. They said "internet sale." Anyway, I wasn't planning to buy one of those things. They're normally $50. But I was compelled to buy a blue one and keep my receipt.
I asked the cashier and she said they were bought online and someone returned them and that's why they are marked down. She said they are still returnable if I change my mind after Christmas.

Now I really know I'm nuts. Ever since I saw it in the Fisher Price catalog last year, I have wanted to get DD the Loving Family Home for the Holidays dollhouse for the Christmas after she turns 3.
http://www.fisher-price.com/en_US/br...products/64177 It normally costs $200. Well this week my mom got an unheard of reward certificate from Toys R Us to allow her to buy it for $100. DD just turned 2. I now have her Christmas present for Christmas 2013 stored at my mom's house.

I just found this thread and am so excited! Wish I'd found it earlier! By the looks of it, I'm behind on my shopping (which is not a surprise...growing up my dad and I were always part of those crazy Christmas Eve crowds of procrastinators!
I've gotten a lot better now however)! Christmas is my absolute favorite time of year! I especially can't wait for this Christmas because it'll be DD's first!! She'll be six months at Christmas! Oh my goodness I'm so excited!I've read through the thread so far and have already picked up some really good ideas for family! We have a lot of people to get something for! The list just keeps getting longer as the family grows too! Here's who I have on my list: DH, DD, DH's dad, mom/fiance, and nephew. Then on my side we have my parents, two sisters, brother/sister-in-law, neice/husband, nephew, grandparents, aunt/boyfriend. We get something for all the pets in the family as well (six dogs altogether including our's, but they're easy!). It's crazy , but I absolutely LOVE finding something special for everyone! So far, I do have a three-piece outfit and two shirts for DD that we got on sale at Children's Place. I will also be getting another outfit or two (hopefully I can contain myself), a few new books and probably a few toys. And then some ideas for a few others. For my mom and dad: a set of good steak knives (since their's are old), an electronic photo frame with pictures of DD on it, and something that says Grammy and Pappy from DD (t-shirt, mug, something). Probably some form of candy for my dad and coffee product for my mom as well. Not sure what else. For DH's mom and fiance: A digital photo frame with pictures of DD on it. Then a hat for her fiance (he collects baseball caps) and an AmazonKindle gift card and perhaps a coffee product for his mom. Need something else for her fiance though. For my neice, older sister, and aunt: A pedicure and/or manicure set maybe? I saw a specific one suggested wayyyy back in the thread but I can't find it now...anyone know of any good, but not crazy expensive sets? I also just found a Disney Villains nail polish set on the Disney Store website for my aunt to go with the pedi/mani set maybe. For my sister-in-law: A AmazonKindle gift card maybe. For my brother, neice's husband: A Lowes gift card I think. For my younger sister: I already have a mini-digital picture frame key-chain for her. But also want to get the Hunger Games DVD (she'll be tough this year because she's living in Germany and can't really take many things back with her). I'm kind of stumped on any other ideas for her that could be useful, but easy to pack in her suitcase. She's 22, any suggestions? For DH: A book on Ferraris (he's obsessed) and probably one by Neil Degrassi Tyson. Also, a previous poster mentioned the new Jeff Dunham DVD coming out so that's a must and maybe another DVD. Also a Christmas ornament. Plus something from DD (a daddy t-shirt or something). I'm also thinking some kind of tool, but I'm clueless in that department. Again, suggestions? Not looking to spend over $100 for it. I'm completely stumped on DH's dad, both our nephews (ages 8 and 21), my grandparents (always SO hard!), and aunt's boyfriend (also difficult!). Also, if anyone has any other good suggestions on things for six month old DD...I've never had a baby to buy for before and get very overwhelmed when I look for things! I welcome any other suggestions for anyone listed above as well! Sorry, such a long-winded post! Just hoping to get shopping done early this year and I have a tendancy to sit and stew over things way too long!

I have gotten so many ideas here in the past. I need help with a winter gift basket for Xmas. I am getting my bro an his GF a gc for snow tubing. I thought of putting some hot chocolate in but I do not know what else. Nothing big since the passes are pricey. Thanks!
