Sharing my frugal & fast but cute Countdown For kids!
Hiya! i'm so excited that i found a cute countdown idea within my budget. Total cost was $7.00 (2 spools of ribbon) 48 paint chip samples and about 90 minutes of time.
We are staying at AOA, Nemo -thought the ribbon & color scheme was a cute touch. I saw similar countdowns online using the Mickey Head Paint Chips, but our local store is no longer displaying the samples...something about too many people taking them for arts & crafts ![]() Thanks for looking!! I know my DH won't be too excited,so i had to share it with people who get it! PS i just finished it & hung it up just to try it out so ignore the ribbon hanging down. I will be starting to countdown next friday, when we tell our kids. & the pictures are cruddy (camera phone) ![]() ![]() I wanted something that wouldn't take a lot of time or talent I know scallop cutting or some other fancy scissors move (to remove the paint color info) would look better.

thats so cute.. I just used some construction paper and wrote what todays date is and then the number of days left real big and on the bottom says different thing like until we are in disney or until the magic begins just different things DD is only three so i wanted to keep it simple and so she could see the numbers going down.
