What type of container for CS desserts?
Hello DISers!
We will have the DP on our next trip and i can foresee not eating all if the desserts- especially the CS desserts. I would like to keep the cookie or brownie or whatever it is we order, but i don't want it to get squished in my backpack. Would a sandwich container be large enough to hold a cookie or brownie, or two? Thanks! I already plan on picking up a plastic cupcake container.

From what I remember, most of the dessert choices were cookie, chocolate cake or carrot cake, and they would probably all fit inside a sandwich container (what a good idea!) However, the cupcakes are HUGE and probably won't fit in a regular sized cupcake container. Have a great trip!

Try either a gladware container- they're lighter or perhaps a Tupperware container that collapses flat.

Check out the tupperware flatouts. They lay flat in your backpack and then expand to hold the dessert. I use those all the time and they work great. This is a link to them. My kids love the apple crisps dessert at CHH and it fits inside these great.

Thanks for the suggestions! I have never seen those tupperware containers. What a great idea! I may need to order some just to keep at home!

Great idea! Thought I was smart because I always have ziplocs with me. Thought wrong, lol, a simple chocolate chip cookie was annihilated in my backpack....it was a tragedy! Thanks!

Those look neat but I'm afraid that they would collapse while inside a backpack under pressure from the other contents.
