There sister hotel The Tre Mount is also very nice and in my book reasonable for the value received.

We booked though disney as it was the cheapest deal. Had to do it over the phone though.

I just checked that out. For just about the same price I'm getting the cruise package which includes free parking and transfers to and from the ship . So I'll stay with that. But thanks for the info!

We are staying at the Hilton Galveston island resort for our Nov. cruise. They also offer a park and cruise option.

We stayed here last night. It was clean and quiet except the a/c. I like white noise so I was ok. We are using Galveston cruise n' park due to covered parking for Bubba's (DH) new truck. The hotel is a little old, but appears to be in the middle of renovation. Our room seems to have been recently redone. They are a typical seaside hotel. Clean always trumps everything for me so I really liked it. We went and had dinner at Landry's next door and enjoyed that last night. Then we walked on the beach for a bit. If is on the opposite end of Seawall Blvd. than Pleasure Pier which is part of the reason we chose it.

We have reservations at the Country Inn and Suites. Does anybody have an opinion on them. We always stay there at Port Canaveral and they have rooms big enough for the 6 of us so we don't have to get 2 rooms.

Galveston is a heavy tourist area and thus more high prices. If you are driving down yourself, check the Clear Lake area. We find the prices to be about 1/2 of what you get in Galveston and its only 20 minutes away.
