Getting annoyed...

Is anybody else getting annoyed with hearing about all these people calling and getting discounts or having pin codes then calling yourself and being told multiple times there is nothing out yet for 2013 except the military discount? I know this is getting to me and I'm really frustrated. I keep reading about people getting deals for jan/feb 2013 and have called the last three days and been told every time that there is nothing available yet. What is going on there? Do certain CMs know about deals and others (the ones I keep talking to) know nothing? I've decided to just hope something comes in the mail or on the computer, no more calling for this girl!

I so hear you. I noticed that every CM has a different answer. Some act like they dont even know what a "pin code" is. I think WE have more info HERE than most CM's. Last year, I had to tell the CM how to rebook my vacation because she was telling me I couldn't change the dates, and it was because they yanked the original promo and republished with new dates, and they changed the promotion code. I had to walk her through it.
I know we have been stalking around here, playing with dates "just in case" FD is announced. I keep reading about certain dates....promos....and starting to go crazy. We have a 20% discount in april already booked (Shades of Green Veterans Discount), so I have decided that I am going to quit looking, and keep everything the same. I have my ADR's done, and just going to stick with it.

Some people get pin codes, others do not. I am in the do not category right now. Am I annoyed? No. When the new discounts come out they will be published and the board will be full of posts stating it. No reason to call everyday. The CM's do not or can not tell before it is time. We have to take a deep breath and step away from the computer. I can understand the frustration, I have paid rack rate before I do not like it, but I can deal with a value or go offsite if I have to.

I hope the new deal comes out soon and everyone gets what they want.

I've been receiving PIN's via email all year long and have the fall free dining pin which I can't use because of work.

So I'm waiting on January and I FEEL your pain!

I'm so annoyed myself. If course we were suppose to go this December while the FD was offered. However my daughters have a wedding to go too. So I said we'll let's go in match around my b-day! But that's not working so well for me right now.
I can't believe it's taking this long to come out with some sort of special! I'll take a % off if I can get it.

Sooo unfair! As an AP holder I go to WDW 4-6 times a year and have never, ever received a PIN. However, other than the principle of the thing, it doesn't really bother me. I always get some kind of discount (either AP, GP, bounceback, etc). I do wonder though why some people get multiple pins and others (like me) have never received one. I do everything that people say generate those PINs (save trips on the WDW site, do every survey, order planning DVDs, call to see if I have a PIN assigned to my account, signed up on every Disney site, make sure they have my email and mailing address correct, etc). Still nada! then I read on here where people are getting multiple PINS every year.

I completely understand your frustration! The elusive PIN system will drive you mad. All I can say is, sign up a bunch of emails and keep praying.

I noticed after we took our first family trip in August 2009, we received quite a few pins throughout the next year. We then booked our August 2010 family trip, and we maybe received 1 pin after that. There were no pins for our August 2011 trip or our August 2012 trip. I think once Disney knows you're hooked, they stop giving you pins. I wonder if we will get a pin sometime in 2013 when they see we have not booked our annual August trip. We are going to Jamaica next year instead.

I finally got my wish. Booked with a Disney Visa discount. Saved almost $2000 on BWI room with inn keepers club. Yay! So ready to see Mickey!!
