Any chance your kids would want to exchange a few emails to get to know one another a little before the cruise? Knowing that someone she is at least a little familiar with will also be trying out the OC and OL would be a big bonus for my DD and will probably make this cruise extra special for her.

Thanks everyone!
My girls are 3 1/2, will be 4 in February, and I'm pretty confident they'll enjoy the kids' club and activities on board and we'd be happy to email you (or facebook maybe?) to "introduce" each other They are used to playing with their older cousins so I think they'd do great with your DD!

Anyone find any good car rental deals or codes? We'll be coming up from Fort Lauderdale and I'm being frightened by the prices I'm seeing today.

I booked a one-way from MCO to the port a couple of months ago. Wasn't a super great deal but I think it was $40 before taxes and fees for a full-size. Through Budget using BCD A376100 (found it on the mousesaver site: http://www.mousesavers.com/budget-rental-car-discounts/.

I've never tried it but I've heard you can get a decent deal through Priceline if you don't mind not being able to pick the rental car company. I wonder if you get the best deals through Priceline closer to the date you need it, however.

Question

Hey, the FishExtenders sounds like a lot of fun; however, we're on the 12th Deck in Concierge with a key required to enter the hallway. I guess we're out of luck, right?

We've always had good service from Budget (and I noticed that someone offered a discount code from them). But.......just throwing this out there because I've been trying to figure out our travel too-you may only want to do it for travel TO the pier, because the Disney transfer service FROM the ship to the airport sounds AMAZING and is only slightly more expensive than renting a car or paying for private transportation. If you do the Disney transfer FROM SHIP TO AIRPORT, they handle all of your baggage so when you walk out of your room onboard, you don't have to fool with baggage again until you get off the plane AT HOME! WOW! IDK about everyone else, but I'm happy to pay about $35 per person to not have to worry about dragging our luggage around, checking it in at the airport, and all that while trying to keep up with 2 3 year olds

Looks like there's one more in our group on the Concierge Level ... just a couple of door down from us.

That sounds great! My older daughter will be excited to hear the news. I'll check with my wife to see which method she wants to use and I'll get in contact with you.

Thanks!

Hi all,

Our travel plans have changed and we will now be on the Dream the week after the 1/6/13 cruise. My family and I were looking forward to meeting you and exchanging FE gifts, so I'm sad about that. Unfortunately I will have to ask that you remove us from the FE group.

Here's hoping you all have a really fun time on your cruise! Fair winds and following seas!

Do we do something for each person....or for each room?

For the FE people - I think it is up to you if you want to do something for each cabin or each person. Last time I did a separate bag of goodies for each person, but this required a whole suitcase just for FE goodies!

This time I think I will go for a gift per cabin, but if there is a kid, try to add some fun things for them.

I remember last time I went I gave a separate bag for each person filled with about 8 different gifts - some families who had 2 cabins with 8 total people got 8 different bags of stuff, and then I got a tootsie roll from them in return - that was it from both cabins It made my suitcase light coming home

I felt initially upset which was really stupid as this is all for fun and a way to meet people - no one should be ashamed of how much they give! Just enjoy the cruise and participate as you see fit!

I need a break from work, been way too long since a vacation. 93 days away

Facebook page?

Does this cruise have a Facebook page? If so, could someone provide me the link or title? Thank you!

B2B cruisers

I know there are at least a few on this cruise that are also going on the DVC Member Cruise immediately following this. I was wondering if there would be any interest in doing a Secret Mickey exchange, or maybe a craft exchange? I have done the FE in the past, but our group was very small (5-6 families). I just don't have the time (or luggage space) to produce large quantities of gifts. But I thought if we could do an exchange where we could bring one or two gifts, and/or a craft exchange, that would be manageable. Since the member cruise is so jam-packed, we could do the exchange while we were waiting to re-board the ship. Any interest?
