Anything happen on Velentine's Day? - The DIS Discussion Forums

Hello all,

Going to do a DCL leaving on Valentine's Day but will probably go to the park the day before. I realize that if anything is done it won't be anything as big as Halloween or Christmas but hope they do something.

Anyone know?

we were there a few days before Valentine's day last year and we saw lots of valentine treats.....?!?!

We were there ON Valentine's Day (at MK) in 2010 and saw nothing. I was shocked they didn't sell little Mickey shaped candy boxes or something. All we saw were little Valentine themed plush but they were out for weeks, not just V-Day.

Not surprising on the merchandise, Disney works that but a bit bummed about no parades, Valentine's Day characters or anything.

Oh well, a day at Disney is always better than a day at work

Prince Phillip and the Snow Prince have been additions to EPCOT with their princesses in recent years. Only on the 14th.

We went on Valentine's Day a couple of years ago and, like others have posted, there wasn't anything special going on. I will say however if there is a special Valentine's Day pin and you want one, buy it early. We saw the pin and I was going to wait until afternoon to buy one for my wife and one for my son's girlfriend. By the time I went to buy them in the early afternoon, they were sold out and they had tons that morning.
