Disney lightboxes. How much do they cost these days?

I bought one a few years ago at the World Of Disney store in Downtown Disney. I think it might have been 80 bucks but I could be wrong. Does anyone know how much they are going for these days? For those wondering what they are...here is a link:

Can't help with costs because I've never noticed them before... But how bright are they when lit? Sufficient as a nightlight in a small room for a child who isn't scared of the dark? DD4 is getting her very own room for the first time and the Sorcerer's Apprentice Mickey scene would work perfectly with the decor I have in mind!

I don't think it would be enough light to replace a standard 'night light'. They run on batteries so if it's left on all night the batteries might need replacing more often than not. With that being said, they are very neat I think and make a wonderful keepsake. Maybe some others on the forum can give you a better idea. I bought mine about 4 years ago but i gave it away as a present. So i'm just going by memory here. The light they give off is very nice and warm but it's more or less contained inside the box to illuminate the Disney scene. I hope that helps you some.

In April I purchased two, a Bambi and Snow White. Bambi was around $80, Snow White $100.

I saw them last September in a store in HS (just along from the Ariel attraction) and they were priced between $80-$120. They are gorgeous.

That's a fantastic description of the lightboxes. Our Bambi is in DD's bedroom and definitely could not replace a night light - it gives off a faint glow internally that illuminates the scene compared to projecting the light out. That said, DD will not go to sleep unless her "box is glowing".

I think I paid $80 for Cinderella Castle a few years back.

Oh wow! I bought one of these at the QVC outlet a few years ago...the Cinderella one for like $28. I wasn't sure whether or not I should buy it but I let my DSis talk me into it. She told me it was a great price. Guess I did get a pretty good deal!

I just bought one 2 weeks ago with the castle, cinderella, prince charming looking at it and mickeys "shadow" on the walkway to the castle. $145.00
It's absolutely beautiful. It is battery and also has a plug option. Best thing I ever purchased at WDW.
