I am 6 weeks and 5 days and praying for a healthy baby (gender does not matter!).

I've been joking for about six months that I would get pregnant with a due date in May because we've been planning a trip to Disneyland (driving) in May of next year and it's been in the works for a year: sure enough, I'm due May 19! Coincidentally the same day we would've gotten to Anaheim! That trip is now postponed indefinitely for the happiest of reasons!
Congratulations!! We are due right around the same time - I'm due May 16th. This is my 5th So far we've only told my sister and one of my close friends. I'm holding out for our Disney trip next month for some good photo ops! This may well be our last time, and we've always just spit it out to people, so I want to do something a bit different this time.

How are you ladies feeling? I have been SO nauseous, and this morning I was lightheaded, and ended up dry-heaving. I hadn't eaten yet, or I know it would have been worse. The heart burn (which I've had issues with for all of mine) has also started already. It's a curse for the women of my family!

Feeling so rough has made keeping it a secret from my older two kids (8 and 7) and everyone else even harder!

I am new to the pregnancy board, too. I haven't told my family or any real-life friends yet; we are due May 30, so still really early ... but I have to tell someone!
I feel you on needing to talk to someone about it!!

Congratulations to you, too, munchkinsmomma24!

You poor thing! I had a really easy first pregnancy, and so far this one is smooth sailing, too. (I'm lucky, I know!) I get heartburn easily and am downright exhausted some nights, but I don't have any nausea.

Seriously! It is soooo hard to keep such a big secret in. It's definitely worth it, though, when you wait and get the reaction you had hoped for.

Another May mom here too! This was a HUGE surprise to say the least and very unexpected. We're having our first and the due date is about May 10th-ish -- haven't had an ultrasound yet, so I'm approximately 8 weeks today. Feeling exhausted mainly, with a bit of nausea. Nothing extreme though. We're very happy and do plan on finding out the gender.

Congratulations! May babies rock. (I was born in May, and I'm due in May.)

We plan to find out what we're having, too, same as we did with DS. With my Type A personality, I couldn't *not* find out.

I found out with all of my others, but since I've done finding out four times and never had that "surprise" moment, and this may be our last, I'm determined not to find out this time. But we will have to pick a baby nickname. We always choose our name as soon as we know the gender and use it consistently, so that part will be different.

Welcome, and congratulations!! This will be our second child, too, and we're just as excited as we were the first go 'round.

All the ones that pregnant women can ride - yes, you should be ok.

I'm sure you've seen it, but there's a thread here on the Families board about that with some really cute ideas! I'm sure whatever you decide to do will be magical for all of you.
Lol! It wasn't easy! With our first one, he was a surprise (as in, we were both in college and not married surprise), so I panicked and tracked him down and told him over the phone. Our second was planned, and I walked into the kitchen and showed him the test and told him I "thought" I was pregnant (very faint positive). So this one, I wanted something fun - I ordered a Dallas Cowboys onesie (his favorite team) and had to wait for it to come in. If I had it all to do over again, I would've driven to the nearest mall 45 minutes away and bought one after the doctor confirmed it, but I didn't think of that at the time, so I had to wait for it to be shipped and delivered. It was a fun way to surprise him.

We're doing the same thing for the grandparents (surprising them, I mean): with our first child, we each told our moms and it was not good news for them (don't worry, the baby won them over when he made his appearance and they've been wrapped around his finger ever since!). My second, my DH couldn't keep it a secret, so we went over to his parents and he blurted it out. When we were leaving there, I called my dad to tell him we were going to stop by and he said not to because my mom was sick, so I had to tell him over the phone. For this one, I'm getting a personalized Mickey ornament when we go to WDW next week for MIL (saying it's "From Grandbaby #5" - #3 from us, but 5 total) and my parents are meeting us in Disney, so we'll tell them there... not sure how yet. I've been trying to think of cute ideas, but nothing is jumping out at me.

Congratulations! I hope you feel better soon! I've been feeling great - a lot of breast tenderness (to the point that laying on them nearly induces tears), but that's normal. Just a little queasiness, but no actual sickness - but I never got sick with either of my other kids, so maybe three times will be a charm too . I told DH I would probably get morning sickness for the first time with this one and it would probably hit while we're in WDW next week! I'll be 8 weeks then.

I've had the breast tenderness too. Which is especially fun as I'm still breastfeeding my one year old! I've been doing a lot more distraction with him lately!

I'm hoping the "morning" sickness will be better by the time we get to WDW in a few weeks. I'll be 10 weeks or so

We went when I was about 5 months pregnant with DS, and I was able to fit through the turnstiles. If you don't feel comfortable going through it, though, ask if you can go through the gate. It shouldn't be an issue.

I don't know how often you're going to the parks or how long y'all will stay each day, but please remember to take it easy. There's a lot of walking at WDW, and all of the park touring exhausted me after a couple of days.

Aww, what sweet ideas! (Well, minus the first one, but sometimes things like that happen and it's for the best ... eventually. )

If you have any ADRs, here's the cutest idea I've read here: A couple dining with his or her parents (or maybe both sets) went to the restaurant early and asked to speak with a manager. They explained what was going on, and the manager got all excited and said not to worry and that he would take care of it. Well, throughout dinner they were waiting and waiting for something to happen and it never did. Then came dessert, and their waiter brought out a dessert they hadn't ordered with the words "It's A Boy" written on the plate in chocolate.

That was a gender reveal, but maybe they could do something similar with "Congratulations, Grandma and Grandpa!"

Hi everyone! I've recently discovered that I'm pregnant with #2 (about 7 weeks)! My son is 13.5 months old and we're leaving for Disney in 19 days. The last time I went to WDW, I was 12 weeks pregnant with him!

Oh, wanted to add that when I went while pregnant (and very hormonal last time, I went by myself (hubby was working in Orlando at a conference) and remember walking down Main Street USA, sobbing like a crazy woman, rubbing my not-yet-pregnant-looking belly, and thinking about how I couldn't wait to bring my little baby to my favorite place on earth someday! Now that day is almost here and I can't wait!!!! All my friends think I'm ridiculous but I knew y'all would understand.
