Leaving on the Dream in a week and I've been thinking...

We are leaving a week from today. We are all SO excited.... Been counting down for days! I have been wondering though.... And please chime in with your experiences.... I'm afraid that I have been anticipating it SO much, and researching it SO much.... On here and other places... That I'm setting my self up for a let down. Does that make sense? My family I'm not worried about, as I don't think they have any idea what to expect. Me, on the other hand, I have been reading everything on the DIS, seen Navigators, read menus, etc. I can't help it... I'm a planner! LOL. I have never cruised before, but am a Disney lover. I'm just wondering if anyone else has done this and what their experiences were. Don't get me wrong.... I know we will have a GREAT time.

I say just relax. Yes, you know "everything" you need to know, but just forget it and go with the flow.

I'm so happy I didn't know about the DISboards until after my first cruise, or I would have been a basket case.

If you just go with a "whatever happens, we planned it that way" attitude, you'll be fine.

I'm an extreme planner also. I go to disney several times a year...and am going on the dream for halloween........but I've never been disappointed even when my plans didn't go exactly as I thought.

Once you've done all your planning and its time to leave, just relax and let the magic take over!

The actual vacation is so short that a big part of the fun is the anticipation. I'm doing a lot of planning for our April trip now. Before I know it, the trip will be here and then gone.

I always keep in mind that it won't be perfect no matter how much planning I do, but it will be memorable!

I remember my first cruise. I wanted to walk around the ship and see everything; I was on cloud nine! It was so exciting.

Have fun
