Chance for BWV waitlist?? - The DIS Discussion Forums

We will be at Disney Jan 29-Feb 3rd. We are renting points for the first time and are currently booked at Kidani, but have a waitlist at BWV for a standard view studio. Anyone know the chances of that actually happening? Thanks so much!!

Certainly not impossible and you have quite a few months to go but standard view studios are hard to get. The fact that you need 5 days in a row makes it harder. If your wait list were for 2 or 3 days it would be easier. Those who wait list for just a few days during your same timeframe will have their wait lists filled even if their request is after yours. You will need all 5 days to become available at the same time and have no one ahead of you in the waitlist queue. I hope you get lucky but Kidani is amazing, so you will have a great trip in any event. Good luck!

I'm surprised a member would waitlist for a renter. It it uses more points, the renter owes the owner. If it uses fewer points, the owner owes the renter.

Last year I waitlisted for a standard view studio at BWV for the last week of January (at the 7 month window) and it never came through. I even called up to one week before arriving. We had to do a split stay. This year I booked a standard view studio at the 11 month window and glad I did, as availability has been spotty on the standard view studio since before the 7 month window openned. I was surprised last year of not getting my waitlist for late January for 5 nights, but decided not to chance it this year, plus I had some BWV points available. THe points are so low in January which makes this level very tempting. Good luck.
