We brought a portable DVD player for the flights and didn't know DCL had restrictions related to having it. It didn't really matter though because we never used it on the ship nor would we have tried to hook it up to the TV.

On the Wonder, there are lots of channels with Disney programming playing all the time, including Pixar films, classic animated films, tv shows, etc. There are also movie channels that play newer releases such as The Pirates Band of Misfits, Ghost Protocol, Jack and Jill, Big Miracle, and many others.

We just brought a laptop. I just upload the DVDs to our laptop and my son can watch them anywhere.

That is too bad. I was getting excited. I may be a grandma, but the Disney Channels are my favorite.

There is plenty of Disney programming on the Magic and Wonder televisions - but without the on-demand aspect. You would have to check and see when the movie you want will be playing rather than calling it up exactly when you want to see it.

My DS 7 fell in love with the classic Disney cartoons! I had packed our iPod and iPad for movies, but he never touched them. He begged to watch the classic cartoons over and over, each night on the Magic. Plus, I needed to spend a day in our cabin (due to excessive fruit consumption, ahem) and loved watching the various Disney movies. No need for DVD player IMHO.

My sister and I spent hours and nearly every evening watching the on demand movies onboard the Dream. It was like a Disney owned Netflix and free!

I had my iPad but rarely used it onboard. They also had Kung fu panda and shrek so it's not limited to Disney. Enjoy your cruise!
