Oh of course! My way of doing it is making smaller portions. I fool my mind into thinking I'm having, let's say, 4 pieces, but in reality I took 2 pieces and cut them down the middle. My stomach may notice the difference but my mind tells it to shaddup before it makes the situation worse!

once a week we go to a little family restaurant for a "light" dinner and drinks.

tonight we went and the head chef is introducing new dishes. (actually he has been doing this for a few weeks now)

his new dish?

a hamburger, topped with pulled pork, topped with bacon!!

I've seen this millions of times before (in my head)!!! He is onto you! He knows your bacony tendencies, so he's trying to seduce you with the crispy slices of heaven! Next thing you know, he'll warn you of the dangers of bacon itself, and convert you to........oh goodness gracious.........SAUSAGE LINKS!
