Rides to keep grandfather with back condition off of

My grandfather will be making his first ever trip to WDW this December and I couldn't be more excited! He will be accompanying myself, DH, DD2, my sister, mother, father, and my grandmother. My grandmother and grandfatehr are 80 and 82 respectively. My grandmother is in good physical health, but my grandfather is a disabled vet with back problems. He gets a shot in his back about once ever three months and is on Oxycontin to help him manage the pain between shots. He will be getting a shot 2 days before our trip. Also, he is able to walk just fine, but will be renting an ECV to make sure he doesn't aggravate his back unnecessarily. That said, I want to make sure that I'm not forgetting about anything on any of the rides I am planning on him going on.

For the most part, I'm figuring that he will be able to go on just about everything my DD2 (36") will be going on and anything that she can't go on, he will need to stay away from. Exception to this are Barnstormer, which I will be taking her on, and Soarin', which I think would be okay for him as it has no jerks or sudden movements, but DD2 is too short to ride.

Other than that, I'm thinking that the following are rides he needs to avoid.

Magic Kingdom:
Space Mountain
Indy 500 Speedway (in case the car behind him runs into him)
Stitch's Great Escape (for when Stitch bounces on the harnesses)
Barnstormer (as mentioned above)
Mad Tea Party
Splash Mountain
Thunder Mountain

Magic Kingdom questionable rides:
Winnie The Pooh - someone mentioned it being bumpy, but I really don't remember either way. Do you remember?
Under the Sea - Do we know anything about this ride, yet?

Epcot:
Sum of All Thrills
Mission Space
Test Track

Epcot questionable ride:
Maelstrom - Always one of my favorites, but I don't remember how rough it is a the bottom of the drop. Think it will be a problem?

Disney Hollywood Studios:
Tower of Terror
Rock N Roller Coaster
Star Tours

Animal Kingdom:
Kilimanjaro Safaris (just too bumpy, I think)
Expedition Everest
Dinosaur
Primeval Whirl

Questionable rides at Animal Kingdom:
Kali River Rapids - I've never been on them. Is it bumpy at any point?

Please tell me if I have forgotten any or if you think that I am misremembering some of these rides.

Also, he has been to Disneland back in the 60s and loved Haunted Mansion, Pirates, It's A Small World, and Carousel of Progress, so I'm really hoping to take him on these multiple times. He also loved America the Beautiful, so I'm really hoping to take him on Soarin' once or twice. Think these are all doable?

Thank you. I haven't been on that one or on Buzz because that really isn't my thing. Is Buzz one he should avoid, as well?

Looks pretty good to me!
- soarin is very smooth should be fine.
- winnie the pooh is bouncy at points..would avoid this one
- rapids rides are very unpredictable. ..would skip this one.

Overall, if you are worried about it, just skip. There are enough other rides that he can go on multiple times and enjoy the day. Better safe than sorry. But, if he does really want to go on it, then maybe you can get a fast pass, or go on it single rider first, and then report back to family if it is practical. My mom has neck problems, and I went on single rider on some of them first to let her know if it was good or bad choice.

I'm assuming based on what you said that while he's sensitive to jerking around, he's not going to be sensitive to clicking type shaking (I'm trying to think of a non-WDW example of what I mean). Both Spaceship Earth and Haunted Mansion have a sort of click to them and a section during which you're going downhill backwards. Some people who are really sensitive have problems with them for those reasons, especially combined with the hard plastic seating.
