Preferred Room at POR
Hi All,
I was wondering if some one might know whether or not paying for a "Preferred View" room guarantees a room in the Alligator Bayou section of Port Orleans Riverside. We are a family of five, but only a family of four by Disney standards as our youngest is only 1. We really would like to have the trundle/murphy bed option as my older two would not work well sharing a bed. Just was wondering if I should chance it and book a standard room with a request for Alligator Bayou or just pay the extra-if in fact that does guarantee that type of room. Thanks in advance ! -Kelly

You could request AB, but it would not be guaranteed if it were a busy time. |

In January we stayed in Alligator Bayou 14 (the closest of the preferred buildings) we had no longer than a 1 minute stroll to the Food Court and main building. The nicest part, was due to the property layout, it was still a quiet location as the landscaping and paths were designed with that in mind. To me, it was worth the extra $.

Thanks so much for the info!! So is building 14 considered the best of the preferred locations? When you are in that section do you use the bus stop at the main depot/lobby area? We have only ever stayed in the mansion sections. Thanks again!!

You will LOVE POR!
![]() The staff are the most polite & concerned on Disney property. The whole resort is clean, clean, clean! The food court is unbelievably good. You must try the "Choose Your Own Pasta". It is sooooooo good! Enjoy your time at POR!
