Justine--I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you recover quickly, and everything is well with your family.

You may not want to think about it right now, but perhaps this event might clarify your feelings in regards to a fourth child. You know the saga that led me to 4 children, many bumps in the road, and it isn't always easy. I wish you the best.

Laura, it totally is, even though it's really early on. We had tried kinda on and off for a 4th for awhile, then recently had decided we were good with 3, didn't want to get stressed over trying like we did for Scarlett. Then 2 months later, yep, I was pregnant.

So there were a lot of emotions in the beginning of "OMG, how am I going to handle 4!?!" But Joey (who had previously been much more on the fence about 4), was thrilled and really excited. As you probably remember, 4 was always the plan, but getting pregnant with Scarlett and the rough pregnancy, delivery, and newborn"hood" with her made us totally rethink that plan.

But now, seeing what we lost has made me realize I wanted a 4th way more than I thought I did. The flip side, Joey is now terrified to try again cause I was so dangerously ill. It takes a lot to rattle him, but when he saw me that morning, he didn't hesitate to take me to the ER. So we'll take some time to think it through and discuss the medical side with my ob and go from there in a few months.

I was just about to post what a kind-hearted person I thought you were, thinking of the best way to tell your friend (coming from a person who has experienced infertility for 3+ years.)

...Then I read your most recent update and wanted to say how very sorry I am for your loss. Sending pixie dust your way, as you recover from your surgery.
