We had ours going last night here in the northeast US. It was in the 40's last night and we love to sit around and play some board games with the kids as the fall weather moves in. This is our favorite time of year. Canada must be COLD!

We went apple picking Sunday. The apples were really big this year. Friday is the 3rd annual family pie bake off. DS and DD get to use premade crust, while the adults have to be more inventive. I am defending the title this year after losing to DS the first year. Have a great time.

No heat, we were just discussing the fireplace going. You need to put one on for the fall. It provides just enough extra heat if needed. The best part is to just hang with the family and enjoy the fire.

We had to pop on the propane fireplace yesterday morning. It got down into the upper 30's Monday night/Tues morning. It was 60 in the house. And while I don't really care, I think the kids were a little chilly.

No pie making, but we usually go to the apple festival in our town. They have apples as many ways as you can think - slush, pies, caramel, candied, etc. They bring in food and ride vendors as well.

We don't have a fireplace. I've considered buying a gas fireplace, which would be nice to turn on when it gets cool.

It was in the 40s outside, but the house didn't drop below 67. Of course, with me being out of town, DW probably has the house at sauna like conditions.
