No car... What happens if a kiddo is sick?

DS Has strept throat. Treated by amoxil since last sunday.
He is in Good shape and everything.
I took his temp before bath and he was 100.3 rectal.
He was in a T2 crisis for about 5 minutes prior to that?

1- do a crisis can affect the temperature?
2- we are leaving on Wednesday! What would you do?
3- what if one of my 3 kids or us gets sicks, what clinir or ER is near WDW since we dont have a car!? We do have Blue cross insurance

There is a centra care location close to WDW and they can arrange for a shuttle to pick you up and take you back.

Normal rectal temp is 99.6 so you are really not talking fever here. Does he seem normal in every other way? If yes, I would stop taking his temp and try not to worry. If not, I would take him to his doctor tomorrow to rule out any secondary infection. If you are on site with out a car you have a couple options. There is a doctor that will make resort visits, or you can hire a taxi and request one with a car seat but hoping that will not be necessary!! Prayers for a great trip!

We had to use them on our last trip. Called stated problem, while on hold to see how soon shuttle could be there, came back on line said could you be in the lobby in 8 minutes.

Last year I had to get a Dr to come out and visit me for a spider-bite, the front desk recommended the service. It was great, and convenient. They scheduled a time and the Dr showed up and treated me and gave me some meds. Fairly cheap too,(around 65 bucks) they didn't take insurance, but they gave me a form that I could submit if I felt the need to request it later.

We have also had prescriptions delivered to the resort using a service the front desk recommended. After taxi/shuttle fees and waiting rooms, it generally seems to have been worth the extra costs to have it done on property.

I've been in that situation before. My doctor is great and will prescribe antibiotics for the rest of us. We ended up not needing them, but it was a comfort to have them available to take at the first symptom if needed.

Another time DH got a sinus infection on Day 2 of our trip. He called home to our doctor who called in a script to one of the pharmacies that deliver to WDW.

Hope everyone stays healthy.
