Good grief the weather doesn't look good

I thought that by the end of September/start of October that the rainy season was over .... it looks like I was sadly very wrong. We leave this coming Friday and according to the forecast there is 40 - 60% chance of rain showing for everyday so far

40-60% chance of rain is normal it's not like here where it means it will rain all day it will rain for half hour an hour may be in the afternoon.

I have been 4 times this time of year and it's my favorite I can't wait till 2014 when we will be going back for an October trip.

Don't worry - we are here now and the best day we have had was predicted 50% rain! Most days are predicted like that but normally mean a brief afternoon shower if anything.

Im exactly like you!I need this sunshine!!!!

I wont be going back until at least 2014 unless we get this posting we have been waiting for which is in the US "there is 6 of us and it costs a fortune" so i will actually be devastated if it rains everyday!

I have been around 23 times for at least 3-6wks at a time and we normally always go at this time!
Infact if it wasnt for having to change our dates due to Dh work we would be flying out on tuesday!
We had 2 days of rain on our last 3wk trip in 2010 but since we had 3wks to do ONLY Disney it wasnt a big deal!

The time before that in 2008 the only day it rained was on our wedding day the 29th of september
and before that in 2006 we went 2wks later and had maybe 1 afternoon of rain!

Yes it rains in the middle of night and then clears up for the whole day but ive never experienced daily rain in SEPTEMBER OR OCTOBER just a few hour or so long falls and maybe 1 decent storm like day!

Im praying for 3wks of great weather as its been so rubbish the last few days here and im totally misserable with it!
I wasnt able to enjoy hardly any of the good weather we had this summer as i was recovering from the Op so i really would like some nice hot sunshine!

I hope its nice weather too as we fly Sunday. I've never been at this time of the year before as we normally go in August.

we got back a week ago and i have to say the weather was not great. we usually go at that time of year and usually its just a shower in the middle of the day but this time we had whole days of rain and so sun inbetween just grey skies it was still warm but I need the sun

Im so sorry you had such bad weather! I honestly will be so blinking gutted if it rains everyday!

Everything that wanted to go wrong with this holiday has gone wrong so i at least hope the weather decides to behave its self!

I know loads of people say they would rather be at Disney in the rain then at home but SORRY im not like that i dont pay over £10,000 for it to rain everyday!!!!

how long was you there for im secretly hoping your about to say like 3 days that way it wont seem so bad that it rained everyday!!

I think every time I have been its been 40-60% chance of precipitation. I remember once I was walking out of Space mountain and my Family was over by the Buzz Lightyear ride, I got soaked walking to them and they were dry as a bone.

We were there for 2 weeks in all. the 1st 2 days were lovely, then we cruised for 3 nights (also great weather) but when we returned to WDW for 8 nights it wasn't so good We saw a few sunny spells but looking back and my photos we were looking at grey cloudy skies for most of those 8 nights.

We have never seen it like that in September and I have a friend who lives in Florida who has said the same thing.

Hopefully it's all cleared for you when you get there and you will have plenty of lovely sunshine. We just had to make the most of it and carry on. Only trouble is with no sun it was too cool for me to use the pool which is what I love to do in the afternoons.

I've read on a few posts that people have found the summer months ie June, July and August exceptionally wet this year.

I know thats its "normal" for showers everyday during this time, but to be fair this August when it did rain, which was nearly every day, it lasted a good couple of hours, not the average 20 minute downpour.

This is exactly what I've been saying! But lots of others are surprised when I say that the weather has been unusually wet this yr, lol
I have lots of friends that have been over already this yr that like me have gone to Disney plenty of times around august
,September etc and they all said their holidays was pretty much wash outs with bits of sunshine!! Not the normal Lots of sunshine with A bit of daily rain!.

Try not to worry, the weather has been great since we arrived last Thursday. We've only had 2 days where it rained for about 20 minutes and that was after 9pm.

I wouldn't bother looking at the weather forecast, it changes all the time anyway, one minute 40 % then next forecast 30%... we went to magic kingdom about 3 weeks ago it was boiling hot and sunny, we then got on the monorail to epcot and guess what as we got nearer it was absolutely pouring down there..

Wee been here since 15th September, due to fly home tomorrow and have had great weather. We be only had rain for about four of those days and they haven't been all da, mostly afternoon or evening. I wouldn't worry, some days it's has been overvast but still great weather :-)
