We used the F Trolley to get to Market St, and from there took BART or the Muni light rail depending on destination. The F Trolley runs right past Pier 35, and consists of old trolley cars from other cities, including the Pacific Electric "Red Car" from LA (now represented on Buena Vista Street in DCA). The F Trolley is part of the Muni system so costs $2 with transfers within 90 minutes included. No change given. It's very crowded so you might need to stand. We've heard of pickpockets in the tourist areas including crowded buses so you'd be advised to keep your wallet in your front pocket or your purses zipped.

To take the cable car take the F Trolley to Powell and Market, or walk to Beach and Hyde on the other end of Fisherman's Wharf. That gets you to one end or the other of my favorite cable car line. There are two others, left as an exercise for the reader. A cable car ride is $6. A one-day Muni pass costs $14 and includes cable cars, trolleys, light rail and buses, but not BART.

I went to a San Francisco Giants baseball game on Tuesday, taking the F Trolley and Muni light rail (which shares the Embarcadero BART station).

On Wednesday, DW and I took the F Trolley, BART, and AC Transit in Oakland to Fenton's Creamery in Oakland. Fenton's is the ice cream place mentioned in UP. It's a real life shop that is a favorite of the Pixar animators so they worked it into the movie. We loved it, but transportation was a hassle.

Welcome back! Thanks for all the info! I assume the toy story menu is on the same night as the toy story show? What menu did you guys end up missing because of the new menu? In January we had the pirate, golden mickeys, till we meet again, captains gala, Tritons, animators palette and parrot cay menus :D

Toy Story night was on Semi-formal night,so would that be Captain's Gala that we missed? Maybe an experienced cruiser can answer this? I only took pics of the themed menu. I can post a pic if it's decent. Let me take a look
Yes, it's the same day at the Toy Story show.
Want to see the Cars pics? Don't want to spoil it for anyone who wants to be surprised!

Did you have any food recommendations from this or any other menu/self service on the cruise?

Thank you for all the info! I can hardly wait. I pulled out my old Navigators from last years repo cruise to Vancouver and I'm even more excited!

I do have one question that hopefully someone could answer. My DD (Sierra) and I will be on this cruise. My ex obviously won't be with us. Do I need a notarized letter from him giving his permission? DD and I took a Carnival cruise a few years ago and they said they needed this, but it wasn't EVER looked at by anyone. The only thing I could find on Disney's website was for a non parent/legal guardian accompanying a child on the cruise without a parent(s). Any help would be great.

Thanks!

Seas were fine. There were points in time when you could feel the ship swaying side to side a bit. Mostly, when you are sitting still at dinner/shows.

My 6 year old DS and I both get car sick, so of course I was afraid of us getting seasick. I came armed with Bonine for me, and Dramamine for him, as well as sea bands.

All we needed were the sea bands. I had DS and I wear them religiously while at sea. No other medications were needed. I definitely recommend them.

My DD and DH didn't use anything, and never once felt sick!

Weather was as follows....

Not sure of the actual temp on the first sea day, but it was overcast and cool, but not cold enough for anything but a light jacket. Not many kids in the pool that day. Upper open air decks are windy and cold, need heavier jacket up there.

San Francisco #1 High of 62 and partly sunny

San Francisco #2 High of 60 and partly sunny

Both of these days felt hotter than that to me, but that's what the navigator said.

Second sea day, warmer than the first.

San Diego High of 79 and partly sunny

Ensenada High of 87 and partly sunny- weird clouds here that caused humidity. Captain also had to sound his horn what seemed like every minute because visibility was very poor pulling into port. This was at 5:30-6:30 in the morning! Wanted to sleep more, but just gave up, and got up,lol.

Can I ask what time you disembarked? I'm panicking about our flight home.

I want to say they started letting the first set of tags off around 8-8:30? My family was off by 9ish, but we had breakfast at the buffet, and didn't rush.
