Universal newbie: Adding stay and scream for HHN

I've never been before to universal or HHN.
My birthday is october 7th so we're going to do both!

We already have 2 park base tickets purchased from undercovertourist.

We'll be visiting IOA on the 5th. Will I be able to add stay and scream at guest services on that day? It would be $36.99 to add it for a sunday visit correct?

Any other advice for a newbie?

if you are using the 2 park one day ticket, go to the studios before 5:00 that day you are at IOA, and plan to do hhn that night.


yes, you can buy the stay and scream ticket at the discounted price.
do it earlier in the day, don't wait until you leave ioa to go to the studios to buy the sNs.



october 5th is a friday.
i am assuming that is the day you are planning to do the parks and hhn.


if you also go on sunday, you can buy the discounted sNs ticket if you have the day, park ticket.
or buy the hhn ticket on the 5th by showing your day ticket, but use it on the 7th.

On the 5th we'll probably just do IOA.
We only have base tickets, not park to park

My plan is attend IOA on the 5th, and add stay and scream at some point.
Attend Universal on the 7th and stay for HHN.

buy the hhn tix when you are at the parks.
show your day ticket so you can buy the discounted hhn ticket.


on the 7th, don't wait until the park is about to close to make that purchase.

the line at guest services really starts to get long just after 4:00.


stop by gs during the day to make the purchase when the line is not out the door.
