How often are bedspreads washed?

I'm not I really want to know the answer, but does anyone know how often the bedspreads are washed? Should we expect a freshly laundered one when we enter our room? The photos of the bedspreads on the Magic are not encouraging. Just wondering what we should realistically expect. For what we pay, I would hope they would be clean.

Maybe I'm too optimistic, but I'm sure the bedding is clean when you get on the ship. If you're nervous about it, just ask the room host to give you a clean one every day, they'll do that, if you wish. They are quite accomodating.

When we were on the Hawaiian cruise our room didn't have a bedspread -- they had a runner across the foot of the bed which was removed at night, and lots of pillows. The room was always very clean.

I would imagine the bedspreads are cleaned before you get on the ship. That would be gross if they weren't.

ETA: Okay you had me curious and I looked up what hotel rooms generally do....and now I am sufficiently grossed out!

That's what we had on our Alaska cruise on HAL. But we've always had bedspreads on the Magic & Wonder (so far).

I much prefer the new white bedding on Dream and Fantasy to the old bedspreads. Those ones are dark and you never know if they are clean or not.

This doesn't have to do with cruise. But a gitl i know is a housekeeper at a hotel and said they was the bed spreads once month. She said they change the pillow cases and sheets and that's it.

From past experience, a clean one is provided on the day of embarkation. And there are enough so that they don't have to wash them all in three hours. So potentially that would be two for each bed. But the one on your bed on the first day should be freshly laundered.

I travel for work and if a hotel still uses old school bedspreads (many now wrap duvets in clean sheets instead), I immediately fold it up, toss it on a chair, wash my hands and forget about it. The one thing I don't do is sleep with it!

I'm just grossed out because I've used hotel bedspreads when cold. Won't be doing that again! lol Now I'm really glad I'm going on the Magic after drydock. Hopefully they will change the bedding.

I have seen them strip the bedspreads and place them in bags outside the rooms on disembarkation day along with the sheets and all the towels that are in the room. On that last morning, everything comes out of the room and they start over. No, I don't think they wash them all in 3 hours; I think they have at least 2 for each room.

In my experience, the SHEETS were washed every 3 days, but the bedspreads were not laundered during the cruise. If you want sheets or bedspread laundered more often, let your host know and it will happen.

Now the one I wonder about....you know that extra blanket in the cabinet? I've never seen that removed......

Well, it gets removed in my room. I tend to be a bit chilly, and usually use the extra blanket

Hopefully, since I have it open on the bed, it gets a wash (or replaced)now and then.
