What's the difference in PBH Villa & West Wing location?

We are booked in a Deluxe room at PBH. What's the difference in locations for Villa & West Wing ie is one closer to the boats, pools etc. Is one preferred over the other? Also, we won't be arriving until after midnight. Will this make it more likely that we'll get a bad room location? Will the best rooms already be given out? Thanks!

Either area would be fine. Just avoid The East Wing if at all possible. The Villa section houses deluxe rooms only. It is located off the lobby. West wing is closer to the boat dock. Read here for more info and maybe request a specific room number if you read about one you may want - but remember its only a request.

Just completed our first stay at PBR. Did deluxe in the villa wing. Was initially concerned about getting west wing, but no worries. We were all the way down at the end of the villa wing. A loooong walk from the lobby (so saying it is off the lobby was only the start of our journey).

Then we found our shortcut. The elevator that goes to the pool gives you direct access to both pools, better than the west wing. Also, walk across the front of the main pool, walk down a flight of stairs and vwaa-laa, you are at the boat dock. There is no need to traverse all the way back to the lobby (though we did that for the first two days...)
