As long as he's not doing it in a pink and purple barbie dress I think your husband can relax. My boys played with kitchens and cleaning carts.

It makes a very loud noise, has many moving parts most which are visible on the toy. And seeing a little boy playing with it makes Mommy happy! Sounds like it's right up a little guys alley!

My 4 year old vacuums with a real Dyson (the super light weight one). When they were two I bought my son a Kitchen set. He loved it. I'm Dad by the way. If your 2 year old wants to put on mommy's shoes that's OK as well.

If your hubby still complains ask him if he remembers when he was 2 years old. If he does he is fibbing.

My nephews *almost 6 and almost 4* love to clean - their mom *my sister* is a neat freak* they're always "swiffering" my mom's wood and tile floors. They have a toy vacuum *the only girl in their house is mom - her 3rd DS is due in early Dec.

Yes, vacuums are girly! Men should NOT touch vacuums. EVER. Only women vacuum the floors.

...I wonder if that worked

Why would a vacuum not be okay?

My boys both loved their toy vacuums. Now that my oldest is 9, that is one of his chores: vacuuming the house...for real.
