Question grammybelle

Is there a toothfairy or toothmouse around WDW. My grandson has just lost his tooth while there on vacation. Does anyone know if anything is offered for this special occasion?

I had the auburn haired Chrissy doll whose hair grew. She lost most of it in an incense fire. Don't ask

DD has lost teeth at WDW THREE times. We were told Tinkerbell has jurisdiction there, not the Tooth Fairy. FYI. If you tell your hotel, they will send some sort of a card. She also got a signed photo (by all the characters) at Chef Mickey's, so if you're dining at a restaurant, ask them about a photo. Tinkerbell left Disney Dollars under her pillow every time instead of money, because she is on all the dollars.

Gosh, I hope not. The child's parent should just do what they'd do at home.

Enough people are grossed out by teeth and enough kids would lose a tooth while on vacation there that I can't imagine Disney making its cast members play tooth fairy.

I used to be a school nurse, and we had these little treasure boxes we'd give to kids when they'd lose a tooth at school. They're just super cheap little things, but the kids LOVED them.

I have no idea if the first aid places at Disney have them, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do.

When DD lost a tooth in WDW, Tink left her a special gift (and something for her big brother, too). However, we took care of that ourselves, as we should. We did not expect the resort to do anything.

Really? Just what little kids need, a reason for their wacko parents to pull out their loose teeth because they might get something free from WDW.

Is there any vacation spot in the world other than the Disney ones where people expect something special for the most benign things?

Face it, you aren't special. EVERYONE has little snowflake moments, so if Disney gave EVERYONE something for EVERY little snowflake moment they have at Disney (or anytime during the preceding year or coming up the year after their trip, because that should count too, right?) they'd go broke.

People wonder why prices are so high, yet they want freebies for every little thing.

Wow. Did you need to be so angry toward a new poster? If Disney didn't make it a habit of selling magic and pixie dust and giving stuff away for free, maybe people wouldn't expect it. I think the OP's question was answered previously. No need for you to jump in and make her feel bad for asking.

Thanks PrincessKsmom for the backup. Wasn't really looking for a freebie - just a momento to get (like the little treasure chests suggested perhaps w/a Disney character on it). Guess I should have been more specific. thanks for the the info. I'm new at this. Love the input.

Thanks for the backup. I wasn't looking for a "freebie" just a suggestion l-ike the one listed w/the treasure chests with perhaps a disney character on it. He would be so excited and what a great momento. I'm new to posting so will learn to be more specific. Be patient - love the input. Thanks again princessk'smom.

Geez, Louise, some people look for any reason to get their knickers in a twist. For the record, DD managing to lose teeth (4 teeth in 3 trips) was totally natural, with not one second of tugging or pulling. They just fell out, no more, no less. We were in line for a photo op with Peter Pan, she told him she had lost her tooth, and that is when PP told us about Tinkerbell collecting teeth at WDW instead of the Tooth Fairy. Who knew? We asked the waiter for a napkin when one tooth came out at Chef Mickey's and were surprised with the signed photo at the end of our meal. Once, DD mentioned losing a tooth at the hotel and a card appeared. They had an "official" card for losing at tooth at WDW, so it must happen fairly frequently. The Disney Dollars appeared courtesy of Tink, just as money does at home courtesy of the Tooth Fairy. No angling for freebies here.

So chill a little.

I have quite a collection of these from the school nurse when my kids were little. The kids did love them!

I'm not angry at the new poster, it's the gimmeegimmee attitude people seem to get when doing anything Disney. I just don't get why people expect all these extras.

OP, if you thought I was angry at you I'm sorry, it was a "collective you", not you personally. It just gets ridiculous. Someone does something nice for your grandson, someone else sees it/hears about it and then their off expecting grand things and getting ticked off when it doesn't happen, then it's the castmembers fault for not being magical enough.
