Need advice
I just returned from open house at DS's school. Well, I was talking to his teacher and she told me her 14 year old cousin passed away suddenly on Friday. I don't really know his teacher well yet, since school just started a month ago. I guess she just needed someone to talk to. She said she had a heart attack, since there is no apparent cause, they have to do an autopsy. Anyway, I felt so bad for her, she was tearing up, I never know the right thing to say, I said I was so sorry, and I would pray for them and if there was anything I could do please let me know. But, I was wondering, should I do something? a card? some nice gesture, just to let her know we are thinking of her. I never know what to do in these situations.

Wow! That is so sad!!!
I think you could never go wrong with a card - but maybe in her school mailbox. She might get sad reading it in front of the kids. Sent from Tracey's iPhone using DISBoards

That is so terribly sad.
I agree, a card would be nice. Sometimes we just need to know there are other caring about us, no matter how soon we have met them.. You are a good person.
