Fantasmic package
Is it worth doing? We have ddp so it would be a ts credit. ATM in trying to choose two extra meals and I just don't know it this would be worth using one I was thinking Mama Melrose. Last time we waited about an hour near the front of the line so we got good seats for the show.

First of all it doesn't cost extra. So that's good reason enough ![]() Mama Melrose is fine. Hollywood and vine only do dinner package, and it requires to eat dinner way to early for us (or too late if you skip lunch) in order to be ready and out of the restaurant for the show itself. Brown Derby is to expensive IMHO and overrated. With the package you'll be able to walk in to the theater 30 minutes before the show, and proceed directly to the seating area. (kind of like a fastpass if you will) That's a big pro compared to standing in line for one hour. The (somewhat) con is that you are seated on the 2 sections farthest to the right of the amphitheater. Even if the water screens and the stage are designed to give all sections the same kind of experience, I know some guests who don't like that "off-center" location. Anyway, we did it a few times, and there is no real bad seat in the end. (it's matter of taste I suppose)

There is one other advantage - the fantasmic package includes starter, main, and dessert, unlike a normal TS credit on the DDP.
We've booked it for our upcoming trip, although it does mean we're having to eat at 4pm - but we'll make it a brunch/early-dinner day, rather than a 3 meal day .

Thanks that's helpful, is the package for on show in particular? What we be the latest time we could book to use it? Also do you just book a ADR online or do you need to call?

first show of the evening (if there are 2)

So to be on the safe side, I would allow at least 2 hours between my ADR time and the time I'm to get to the theater's gates (maybe a little more) If your show is at 8PM, do not accept any ADR later than 5:30pm (I'd even say 5pm on a busy day - and if there are delays and you wait to be seated that might be tight - that's why we only do lunches at Mama Melrose's and not dinners) Quote:
)you need to follow the link, if you make a reservation for the restaurant without being on the fantasmic dining experience page, you won't get the fantasmic voucher during your meal
