Exclamation Flybe/Air France

Just a heads up for anyone looking to book flights, I just realised that Flybe now advertise flights from Bristol to CDG, not sure if they're using Flybe or Air France planes as both companies are offering the same flights, but for the journey out Air France is considerably more expensive and for the return journey Air France is slightly cheaper

With Flybe
Bristol *(BRS)‬ to Paris CDG *(CDG)‬
Monday 25 March 2013

Depart 12:35Arrive 15:10

Points
£ 59.70Paris CDG *(CDG)‬ to Bristol *(BRS)‬
Friday 29 March 2013

Depart 20:30Arrive 21:10

Points
£ 89.87

TOTAL £ 149.57 plus £14.99 1 x 20kg baggage = £164.96

With Air France

Monday 25 March 2013 AF2173 - Voyageur12:35 Bristol, Bristol Intl (BRS) - United Kingdom 15:10 Paris, Charles de Gaulle (CDG) - France - TERMINAL 2E Operated by : Air France Aircraft : ATR 42Inflight meal served : information not available Class : Eduration : 01h35mn non stopBaggage allowance : 1 authorized item of baggage of 23 kg/50 lbs or less

Your return flight : Paris - Bristol Friday 29 March 2013 AF1572 - Voyageur20:30 Paris, Charles de Gaulle (CDG) - France - TERMINAL 2E 21:10 Bristol, Bristol Intl (BRS) - United KingdomOperated by : Air France Aircraft : ATR 42Inflight meal served : information not available Class : Eduration : 01h40mn non stopBaggage allowance : 1 authorized item of baggage of 23 kg/50 lbs or less

Total due : £ 201.90

£46.00 dearer with AF, not sure that any inflight meal your likely to get with them is worth that much, so worth checking both sites before booking

Those Flybe flights are operated by Airlinair which is a French regional company working on this route for AF

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airlinair

The AF flights come with 23kg of baggage per person as standard.

But it's a code share so even if you book with AF you will be on the same Airlinair plane as the Flybe passengers

FLIGHT SCHEDULE FOR March 25, 2013
Direct Codeshare Flights:
Mon-Sat 12:15 Bristol (BRS) 14:50 Charles De Gaulle, Paris (CDG) 2E
BE 4045 Non-stop ATR ATR 72 (AT7) 1:35 Effective from 2012-10-29
Codeshare flight, operated by Air France. (AF 2173)

FLIGHT SCHEDULE FOR March 29, 2013

Mon-Fri,Sun 20:25 Charles De Gaulle, Paris (CDG) 2E 21:05 Bristol (BRS)
Flybe BE 4042 Non-stop ATR ATR 72 (AT7) 1:40 Effective from 2012-10-28
Codeshare flight, operated by Air France. (AF 1572)

So if 20kg is enough and you don't care about what they try to pass off as a meal you've got a bargain

More spends for DLP

Hi,

I've just started pricing up flights from Newcastle for March and see that the times for the Flybe and Airfrance flights are exactly same and a note on both says operated by cityjet.

Airfrance website quotes £660 for 4 including baggage allowance for all, and Flybe have £517 for 4 plus £14.99 per bag, we'll only need one between us I think for 4 days, even if we add 2 bags it's still a big difference in price.

Will probably book up tonight!

I found a simmilar situation for my flights from Birmingham this year, though the other way round!

I checked Air France and Flybe, the same flights were £150 cheaper on the Air France website.

For thise looking for air France / Flybe you may also want to check the KLM website. Again they are the same flights (All the airlines are part of 'skyteam' so share flights) but sometimes work out cheaper.

Just checked KLM but they're coming out £660 same as Air France so Flybe still cheaper. Booked them for 14/03 NCL-CDG 11.50 and return 17/03 CDG-NCL 20.35, added one 20kg bag and airport parking for £576. Just the small matter of choosing a hotel now (SO want the DLH but still trying to persuade DH that it would be worth seeing DD face when we don't tell her which hotel we've booked and turn up there!)

Is there any difference in what is provided on these flights? Airfrance has free drinks and a snack of sorts doesn't it?

We have booked with and all our confirmation is with air France but when I tried to check in online it redirected me to the flybe site, I presume the reason I can't check in is because we are flying with a baby though.

That's probably the reason. We booked through Flybe (I do it with whoever is cheaper) and we could book in online on our outbound journey but not on our inbound one (from Orly).

The only difference is the 23kg luggage allowance included with Air France and the snack which you don't really need on such a short flight - but it's nice if it's free!

First time we flew we were with BA and had croissants, orange juice and coffee on the early morning flight over, and sandwiches and a drink on the way back, it was nice I suppose but on a 50 minute flight don't feel like I really need it.

Now as we always seem to have late afternoon flights, we usually hit Burger King at the airport on the way out and McD's on the way back.
