![]() We got a letter back on the inquiry 2 wks ago that stated they would forward it to another department and we'd hear back from them in 4-6 weeks......lol But........the gal we spoke with at the local office, said we'd receive those letters....even though we refiled the 2010 amendment. So now we're just hoping that this will process quickly. She said 8-12 weeks and it's been about 5-6 weeks. |

Not sure how the dinner shows work though. So I could understand being leery and afraid of losing them

No, there are a couple (can't remember exactly what they were) that were to be paid at the time of booking....but since we had the dining plan, we were able to apply that instead of actually paying.

To the Happiest Place on EARTH
YEAH!!! Congrats! I plan everything from wake up time to bed time! Allow down time! My Tips: 1. allow enough travel time to get to point A to B it is HUGE. If we have ADR for Breakfast at Chef Mickeys we leave 1 hour ahead. 2.We love Chef Mickeys; The new Be our Guest Rest. looks amazing!
3.Parades; night time parade at MK and fireworks always a must! 4. Never done the Mickey Christmas Party-but that would be a must for me! 5. Maybe split up and do the princess stuff and the boys do the boys stuff and have a meet time and place. That's all I can think of for now! ENJOY!

1. Yup, we have looked & mapped out distances.....it's definitely a BIG place! 2. I'm still hoping to get a Be Our Guest ADR. We actually have cancelled our Chef Mickey's. (lots and lots of bad reviews.....eek!) 3. I'm a die hard parade & fireworks gal....can't get enough of them!! 4. It's a definite MUST for this trip!! 5. We'll probably split on occassion, but since this is new to our whole family...it's fun to experience things together. |

HUGECHANGES to our plans!!! ![]() I really didn't want to do anything but I need to be realistic.......there was no way we were going to be able to pay for the trip we had planned. If the IRS money gets here in time, we were still TOO FAR OUT to make this happen. So I wrote our TA and asked her to cancel our packages. ![]() I feel horrible, because she had made changes and was so helpful in answering questions, etc. ![]() NOW, don't be totally teary eyed......it is possible to still go. My son, Derek, who is doing the College Program can book rooms at a CM discount. I've priced tickets, MVMCP tickets, Premiere AP, TiW Card and questimated on rental car, gas, meals, snacks, souvenirs and airfare. IF we get the IRS money back and we can come up with about $3000 more.....we should be fine. I guestimate high and including meals for Michayla because we're unsure how many of the restaurants will actually charge for a g-tube fed child (who doesn't eat anything orally and is delayed & autistic)......but I'd rather over budget then come up short. I'm just not sure where we can find the $3000......we're just hanging by a thread right now on monthly bills & such. Just keep sending us pixie dust & good wishes.......I really need this Disney pick-me-up. (I lost another special lady in my life this week) ![]() I did some major cutting on our dining too since we're losing the deluxe dining plan. I had to cut HDDR, CRT, Tusker Hse Brkfst, Coral Reef, Plaza Inn, & California Grill. We'll be doing more meals at our resort......which also will change to All Star Movies (where Derek works, that way he can stay with us the entire time we're there). ![]() Thanks for still hanging with me!!! I've appreciated all the support and kind words. ![]() |

Praying and sending good thoughts your way
That was good idea to get Derek's CM discount for rooms Sometimes, they can also get your a discounted dining Cm plan, but normally something that is done last minute. I know my friend's CM friend has gotten her one before

I am so sorry you have to change your plans Laurie. I hope you get some money in soon so you don't have to cancel all together. And I hope you can afford the difference. You guys totally deserve this trip!

I think your new plans still sound pretty good Laurie. Praying the funds come to pull it off.
Just a couple things that may help. Do you have Safeway gas stations by you? The way I have been paying for my trip is by buying Disney Gift Cards at Safeway. When you buy gift cards you earn 4x the fuel rewards. (through 9/30, not sure if it will be extended). So for example you but $100 gc. You save $.40/gal of gas. $250 gc = $1/gal savings. I've been doing this all summer and this way my hubby fills up his truck in CO and we save on the budget there. I look at it as saving almost 10% in the long run with my hubby needing so much gas. Even if you just get a $50 gift card every other week it will add to the funds and save a bit on gas. The other way is Target. I do not have a red card but I have heard with that you can save 5% and if you fill prescriptions at Target you can get Pharmacy rewards which is another 5%. So if you have both it's almost a 10% savings that way. Another thing you might look into is the YES program for Anthony and Addy. I've heard you can get cheap tickets by doing that!!

Your new plan looks like a lot of fun! I tried not to put too much dining in my plan since West Coasters are so used to CS for almost every meal, the idea of making more than one TS reservation per day sounded exhausting, and your new plan sounds much more streamlined and West-Coast-ey.
![]() And $342 per person on airfare is great. Hope your tax money comes through.

I've been reading some, but don't believe I've replied before...Nobody will charge you for her, as long as you state (esp at buffets) that she will not be eating--we usually do that at check in at buffets, so they mark it on the check. The only place we were expecting to pay for our GT fed daughter (didn't end up scheduling it in the end) was Hoop Dee Doo (or other dinner shows like it), since you're paying for a show and food, they can't separate it out.
