9pm flight arrival & ME - The DIS Discussion Forums

We are scheduled to arrive at MCO on December 25 @ 9:00 P.M. I have always arrived early in the day so i am not sure that will work. If we was to use our yellow Luggage tags will our luggage still get to us that night? Or should we not use the tags & get our own luggage before boarding ME?

DME will pick up your yellow tagged bags and deliver them to your room provided your plane arrives before 10pm. However, unless you take appropriate steps, you might end up getting your bags at 1 in the morning!

Possible steps to avoid that...
1) Don't yellow tag your bags, collect them from baggage claim, and take them on the bus with you. This will GUARANTEE not getting that 1am wakeup knock.
2) Let baggage services at your resort know your bags will be delivered by ME, but you'd like them to hold them and you'll call for them in the morning. This is still not a guarantee.

Either way, make sure you pack a carryon with any necessities you'd need that night (meds, glasses, change of clothes, etc). That's good practice any time you're flying.

I am thinking at this point we might be better off with getting out luggage ourselfs.
