Long time Disney parks veteran, but doing the MNSSHP for the first time...
Hello all-
We are going to be at Disney for 8 days at the end of (gosh, time is moving slow right now!)October and we have tickets for Halloween night. Question- How do they handle the transition from the day crowds to the party crowds? How early should we get to the TTC? What is getting in like? Strategies anyone? I know Halloween night is busy, but we have a full Magic Kingdom day at the end of the week for all of the attractions. Thanks for the help!

I believe they start letting ticket holders in at 4:00. You will get a wristband. As you go into the park you will notice that te closer they get to 7 the more staff that is there to help move the crowd out. If you don't have your wristband, then you don't get to stay. They will escort out guests without bands, and they check for them. As for strategy, I can't give you tips there, except. We felt that we spent a lot of time trick or treating instead of enjoying the evening. There used to be a few magic shots for photopass where the ghosts show up in your picture by haunted mansion. Be sure to watch the parade and hallowishes! Our favorite part of the evening was the parade

Enjoy every minute of the MNSSHP! We went towards the end of our trip a few years ago and if we had gone earlier in our trip, we would have bought tix for a second night; it was that good! We also felt like we spent a lot of time tick or treating but I've heard they don't have as many stations as they used to. Definitely make time for Hallowishes and Boo To You parade!

Definitely focus on Party events. The parade is NOT to be missed. If Characters are your thing, be aware that the line for the Dwarfs starts forming between 5:30 and 6PM. Yes, I'm serious. We got in line around 5:45, but we were done and on our way before 7:15. The Hitchhiking Ghosts photo and Cinderella's carriage are also big draws. The dance parties are cute. And, of course, there's the candy. The fireworks are different than what you will see on non party days and when I went they did a great Villians "mini show" in front of the castle too.
Watch the boards after the first party. People will post tips and even scans of the map so you can plan a little more. |

They will start letting MNSSHP tix holders in at 4pm, and the rest of the crowd has to be out by 7. Everyone for MNSSHP will have a wristband.
I'd say get the MK by 4, but make it by 6 at the latest. It gives you time to check out all the decorations, get some photopass pictures, and I like to ride Haunted mansion and maybe one more ride in this time. I just like getting there early. haha.
