1st Haircut

My DS is 16 months old and is ready for his first haircut. It's pretty much just the back that needs to be cut but I digress...We are going to Disney World in January 2014 and unfortunately cannot wait that long to have his hair cut in Disney.

Does anyone have any ideas as to make it speacial as if we were in Disney? I'd love to hear your answers.

Sorry. I guess I don't really understand. It's a haircut. A 16 month old may be terrified of a stranger doing it, so why not just do it yourself?

I guess you have to ask yourself WHY getting it done in Disney would be "special," and try to duplicate that particular part of it on your own.

Someone else might have a better idea.

Cut it yourself and save the bits you cut off in an envelope in his baby book for posterity. That's more special than letting those bits go to the floor of the Barber Shop.

My hairdresser had a "First Haircut" certificate with a slot in it for the first lock of hair she cut off. Really cute for the baby book! Oh and she got to sit in a Dalmatian hi chair which really made her day, that and everyone ahhhing over how cute she was.

It is special at Disney! DD had hers there, they give you special first haircut ears, a certificate, shower them with pixie dust (glitter), all in the magical setting of main street USA, all for about 15 dollars, it was very special, highly recommend it!
