I like fine dining, but I also like home down comfort food I usually pass on. When it comes to DCL, I agree that the food is so-so...some is very good and some poor. BUT, I found a solution that seems to work for all of me except my waistline . I graze my way through the cruise. Other than when I sleep I usually never go more than an hour or two without eating something. If I don't like what I'm eating, I just stroll along until I find something else. If I'm not satisfied with my MDR meal, I'll swing by the adult bar area to see what they have for snacks; I'll stroll into Quiet Cove Cafe and grab a port and a pastry....perhaps something later on from room service (I love the BLT's). I use room service alot to fill in some gaps (cheese trays in the late afternoon; coffee/danish in the a.m. before heading off to breakfast). I find that by doing this, I'm never starving, so I never really get disappointed if I'm unhappy with my MDR meal...I just look forward to the next thing I'll eat...and I also look forward to purchasing an entire new wardrobe when I get back home (one size larger of course) All in all I always come home remembering any number of wonderful food items I got to enjoy during my trip....and the not so good ones? Well, it doesn't take too long for the memory of them to fade away!!!!
