Looks like people on the Cal Coast cruise on the 16th are starting to get their GT assignments, so we may be getting ours in about 2 weeks time!
(Can't be much later really...)

More questions from a Disney Cruise dummie here, what is a GT and an FE?
Also, which restaurant, if you have been on the Wonder, is the adults-only? And is there a nominal fee for that? Believe it or not, we have cruised before and often.....just never on Disney. ![]() Which night is formal and which is semi-formal?? Wenuwish.....I have flown on Air NZ...they took us down to Tahiti to work a Princess charter back to LA on one of our planes when I was flying and they put us all up in Business Class in the bubble....NICE! Don't feel bad. I had no clue until our 4th cruise when I found the DISboards. We've been aboard Magic 4x, this is our first on Wonder. GT is Guarantee. It's possible to book with a guaranteed class vs a specific catagory. For example, GTI... guaranteed inside cabin. You receive your cabin assignement close to cruise time and it could be a 10 or 11...or an upgrade to something better ![]() FE is a Fish Extender. Next to the door on the Disney Wonder and Disney Magic is a little fish-shaped hook. The FE is a gift holder of sorts. On the DISboards a FE group will be set up within the meet group and a gift exchange is set up between those cabins. The gifts are secretly placed in the FE hung outside participating cabins. The FE sign-up deadline for our cruise is passed already, this is necessary so folks time to make buy the gifts. Quote:
This is the schedule we've heard all along and I reconfirmed last week. Here it it direct from a DCL email on Sun 9/2: 7-Night Pacific Coast Cruise *Nights 1, 3, 4, 7: cruise casual *Night 2: "semi-formal night" - semi-formal wear for men: suit/jacket; for women: dress or pantsuit. *Night 5: "formal night" - formal wear for men: tuxedo or suit; for women: gown or dress *Night 6: pirate night with deck party - cruise casual or bring your best pirate outfit! Please be aware the information subject to change without notice. Hope this provides some of what you were looking for ![]() Lise

Thanks Lise! Got all the info and appreciate your taking the time with a Disney Cruise novice. This is a bit different from other 7 day cruises here on the West Coast.
Bob will bring his tux and I will get my formal stuff out too. Interesting that it is at the end of the week instead of the beginning. We have had guarantees on other cruiselines occasionally, but this time we wanted to be sure we got a balcony, so that is what we have. No problem with the gift exchange being closed. there seems to be a lot of new fun things to look forward to on this ship. Mar~ |

Getting ready to send off our request for the Group Palo Brunch. I need to hear back from Hollywood_Glitter and StSomewhere. I've sent a PM so please check your PM's if you haven't already. It's a holiday week/weekend. I know it's been a few days since we've heard from Hollywood and I know Stsomewhere has just returned from a trip. I just need confirmation of whether or not you would still like to attend. I'd appreciate it. Thank you ![]() So looking forward to getting away! We have some business to take care of in LA on Saturday Sept 29 and then we are off to Oceanside to have a late lunch/early dinner with eldest daughter, her dh and our 3 grandchildren. DD just did the Disney 1/2 Marathon last weekend. While it is only a meal and a few hours, being with DD and her family will make the trip down South so worth it. We never seem to be able to spend enough time with them. We are staying the night before the cruise at the Crowne. There is a little coffee shop around the corner where we will be having breakfast. Anyone else staying nearby that would like to have breakfast before going to port? Linda

I just read that there will be a special Pixar-themed dance parties in the Atrium Lobby! I think the character dance parties are so cute at a great way to spend a little more time with the characters (or get some great photos from the upper deck). Super excited to see the Pixar characters dance!

![]() As far as Formal Night being later in the cruise, I think they like to build to the event Also, I believe they try to make it a Sea Day, and we only have 2. I'm thankful I'll have time to send our formal clothes to be pressed ![]() If you want to see a more detailed "tentative" schedule, check out this post by Hollywood Glitter: CLICK HERE Are you up on Disney's rotational dining? Hollywood Glitter has another post that details the possible rotations. Personally I love how we walk into a completely a different restaurant... but are guided to our same table number, greeted by our same wait-team and my saved 1/2 bottle of wine from the previous night shows up chilled to perfection (DH doesn't like wine) ![]() Lise

How scary! I did read about your dad and I am so glad that everything is okay now. I am sure it has been a rough and detailed orientated week especially with the Alaska cruise in the mix! I am so glad he is okay and on the Alaskan cruise! The only thing I needed was your okay to submit the request just in case you made other plans in the interim. I have your ressie number and info. I'm looking forward to meeting you oh so soon! Linda
