The Disneyland half looked like SO much fun! I can't wait for the Princess - will be my first half. We just started a Facebook page to go along with our blog about the race to the Castle - please come join the conversation! We would love to have some fellow princesses-in-training

Were there a lot of character out on the course? Wish I could have done it too.

Has anyone heard any more about tables being released at Le Cellier?
Hubby and I just decided that we're not going to bring the kids on this trip afterall. Just the two of us.... ![]() Which means...we can eat where WE want without worrying about keeping the kids entertained. Woo Hoo! We both really want to try Le Cellier since we've never been. |

Mamasmurf227 - I have a question. How ok are your kids? My DD is 5 and her school is crazy strict about absences, so I toyed with the idea of going by myself. I don't know if I can do it though!! Any guilt free tips?

I think bringomg them would not be worth the money as you have to be up so early for the race, bed early the ngiht before, and spend time at the expo, ect I am leaving in 8 days with my DH and my girls and I can't wait. This trip will be for the kids, and we will do everything they want. So when I go back for the princess 2013 I hope I won't feel as bad. |

That being said, we were just there in February to celebrate her 5th b-day, and I told her that we would plan a trip in 2 years when our youngest turns 5. (Only fair, right?). Oh, and I *may* have left out the fact that DH and I are still going. I figured learning she wasn't going was going to be hard enough to take. I'll break the rest of the news to her at some point. (Maybe when she see's the medal? LOL) Sorry, can't help much with "guilt free".I probably wouldn't feel as guilty if we hadn't already told them we were going. What started out as something for me to do for myself--running this half marathon--turned into a whole family event/birthday celebration/vacation and that's just not what I wanted out of this experience. This was for ME--and I'll admit that I'm being completely selfish about this trip. I'm ok with that. Good luck with your decision! |

My whole family would have come along for my race too - big vacation, etc. But like you said, that's not what I need for this trip. I am nervous enough, and this race symbolizes so much for me that I really don't want it affected by worrying that DS is bored, or hungry or tired, or trying to coordinate a bunch of people's mealtimes, etc. I'm going to fly in, go to the expo, sit on my behind for a day, cook my pre-race food in the room, run the race (it's at night), sleep in, and then DH and I will very leisurely explore Epcot and DHS and then go home two days later. Good luck with your guilt - and your race! |

Where is the Wurst? I am still debating the Rock & Roll 1/2 the following weekend. Are you doing that one?

Ended up making an ADR for a late dinner at Ohana in case we can't get anything at Le Cellier that day.
Thinking that we could probably have dinner and catch Wishes from the beach. Anyone know if they do anything special for the Magic, Memories & You show on race day--i.e. pictures from the race? That would be cool and may change our plans. |
