There is always so much to do on the ship plus all the tours on land.

Another fab day. You're certainly seeing plenty of wildlife! I'd love to go whale watching one day.

The elk sounds interesting. Shame you didn't get a pirate bandana or that it's not a pirate menu although in some ways it seems a bit silly having a pirate party in Alaska - should be a goldpanner's or lumberjack's party! Did many people dress up for it? It was so embarrassing on our last cruise when we seemed to be the only ones in pirate T-shirts.

Yes please, I think there's a few of us here who'd really appreciate it.

As your time was limited at the glacier I'm wondering if we'd be better making our own way there, I've just looked it up and it seems quite easy to DIY. Was there any reason why you decided not to go up the Mount Roberts tramway?

Yeah I thought that to about the pirate party but I could have done with the bandana today as Mike and I are going to a fancy dress party tonight as pirates! No we didn't see many if any costumes.

Yes I wish we'd done it DIY now but we thought we'd be safe and book with Disney. The shuttle to the glacier had booths selling tickets outside the tramway and their are lots of whale watching companies with smaller boats.

We didn't do the tramway for a few reasons, save the money, we'd done one in Vancouver, get back to the ship!

I doubt we missed much, more scenery but its not like we didn't see tons of that!

Love the stunning photos of the glacier ... I once did white water rafting on one of the rivers that is a glacier melt river off the Mendenhall ... back in the days when I worked for Princess cruises. Unfortunately before the digital photo age so I have very few photos. Your photos are incredible.
