Totally normal to feel sad but having a baby is a joyous occasion! Just think of all the cute little Disney outfits you can buy now

Congratulations, a baby is a reason to be happy.
I'm sorry you have to push out your trip but I am also wondering why...

As someone who spent years wishing for the happy news before it finally happened, I'd say there's no need to waver on how to feel.
People go to Disney pregnant every day. Why not go as one last pre-baby getaway? |

Why not try to do both? If you just found out you should be able to travel in January without any problem.

if you just found out and I'm counting correctly, in Jan would be early-mid 2nd trimester and perfect time for a baby-moon!

Could you move your trip up a bit? That way you could get in one last adult trip before your baby is born. And then wait for about three years, and successful toilet-training, before visiting again.

Also wondering why it needs to be changed unless you're further along than I'm guessing. In which case, I'd try to push the trip a couple months sooner. Our first trip had a baby 2 months old - so you don't have to wait super long before you go again! (However, after my third child, there's no way I could have handled that age due to complications with the c-section. The other one was a c-section but without all the complications).

The second trimester is the best time ever in a pregnancy!! I'd go and enjoy your last "alone" time for who-knows-when. Imagine the fun pictures you can get with your wife's baby-bump!

It's not easy to change dates by a year with DVC points, depending on the expiration dates of the points. Do you have a contract? Most likely they would only let you change it if they can find someone else to rent the points before they expire.

Congrats!
Also wondering why you have to wait another year? Last May I was 5 months prego & went and had a great time. It wasnt to hot ( and in Jan for you, that should be perfect weather) to walk around, just take a few bench breaks and relax a few minutess or go on relaxing rides! |

Unless you have a condition that prohibits you from travelling, I say go! We went with our 3 year old when I was 8 months preggo (in the crazy heat of June) and it was one of the best trips! I still tell my little guy that his first trip to WDW was in my tummy
Best of luck whatever you decide.

Congratulations!!! We also had to postpone a trip when we found out we were expecting our 3rd! BUT, due to a lot of things that went on that year, we actually ended up doing a budget trip early (we went in January ~ I was 7 months pg, didn't feel like I missed out on anything ~ except being able to ride ToT with my oldest on her first ride ever, GREAT time of year for pg person) and then we were blessed enough to still have our dream Disney vacation the next year.
