I have done all of the above....now I have a lanyard I bought on Eddie Bauer site about 8 years ago and that is what I use! It has 3 zippered slots and the front has a Velcro slot that I put my ID, key crds and ticket in. It's easy to slip down my shirt and avoid the bag check.

Of course I carry the usual; sunscreen, sunglasses, money, camera, etc.
But when I went this last time (first time in ten years) I carried a journal with me! It was such a smart idea because when we were waiting for our food or something I could write down the memories from the day and now I have something to look back on and read It makes a very special memory to have, especially since we all think we can remember everything and it all tends to slip ahahah It also served a dual purpose of character autograph book as well!

Probably missing some things?!
For those of you who bring frozen water in your bag/pack, how do you control the condensation?

When I do for school, I wrap a microfiber cloth around it and use a hair elastic to secure it. Saves me a lot of mess

I just take a small over the shoulder bag which holds DL, one credit card, some cash, KTTW, insurance and drug card, camera, cell phone and a small advil bottle of multiple medicines. Everything else is in the safe in the room.
Security usually laughs at me when I open the bag and they look... not much in there...

Question - which baggallini do you carry? I am in process of picking one for our Decemeber trip. I have the everyday bag but want something a tad bigger for Disney.

I have a personalized LL Bean backpack that my mom got me when I was 13ish. It has withstood, in the past 25yrs, school, football camps, college, trips, and 18 yrs of off-and-on laboring (this bag has done it all). And it is the perfect size for carry-on.

In it, I keep a change of socks, t-shirt, boxers. Also, since I'll be going in Dec, I carry a hockey sweater (jersey) for me, and a sweatshirt and windbreaker for the fiance'. All the clothes inside makes for nice padding for anything fragile we might buy. And it will keep cell phones safe and dry on the rides. The front pocket is nice to keep things like glasses case, floss, brush, Advil, gum, tissues, toothbrush, floss and sunscreen.

And, yes... I do carry all that every day of our trip to the parks.
Home for Christmas. POR December 10-17th PTR

I carry the Baggallini Messenger Bag when I need something a little bigger to the parks. I fit everything in it, it has several compartments which makes it easier to organize, and it has a mesh pocket on the outside for a water bottle....

I have this one:http://shop.baggallini.com/baggallin...121602/1006143

It is a good sized bag, and I can put all of my stuff in it and not notice the weight of it.

  • A camera
  • extra SD cards
  • my mini-flex tripod
  • bandaids
  • ibuprofin (we get headaches easily)
  • dramamine (because I'm prone to Vertigo)
  • Tums or some equivilant
  • chapstick (usually with SPF as most come that way anyway)
  • money/park tix/ID's
  • small nail clippers (I have really thin nails and they break easily. Drives me nuts if I can't clip and file)
  • sometimes we carry a glasses case if my husband wears his glasses.
  • a couple of plastic bags for water rides
  • ponchos if needed

I'm trying to go with a waist pack next trip since we don't need the larger compartments. If we go to a park where we swim we do take a small one strapped shoulder bag with our swimming stuff in it. No lockers unless we absolutely need it.

Oh god there's the yeti! - The Trip Report!.

my trip in Oct will be only my 2nd trip to Disney as an adult, but what I carried last time (what I plan I plan to carry this time) is similar to what I always carry on day-long outings. In the past I have carried a small backpack, but for this trip I am making a switch to a small crossbody bag.

Here is what will be in it:

small wallet with all important cards
Wet Ones
small Nikon camera in a small case (with extra batteries)
Excedrin Migraine
Paper "itinerary" (daily schedule, park times, ADRs, confirmation #'s, etc)
autograph book and sharpie
water bottle(s)
April 1987, April 1990- Off-site, with family.
May 1993 Off-site, Senior Class Trip!
Oct 2010 POR- First trip as an adult

Oct 2012 POFQ- First trip planned all by myself (and with plenty of help from The Dis!)
Next trip- Nov 2015 to MK and Universal!
