Top 5 reasons that Disneyland is WAY better than Disneyworld

This blog was posted on mouseinfo.com. The other way around is also stated in a different blog.

I personally have to agree on all 5 of these statements. Do I love Disneyworld as well? Yes I do. But Disneyland is #1 for sure.

Hope you enjoy.

Disneyland is truly our favorite. We have visited WDW more. It's easier for us to get to Florida over California.

We really like how it isn't just facades over tin buildings. We enjoy seeing the past history in the rides. You also can't beat Disneyland Hotel

Hilarious! Eat it Florida! hahaha

I love both, for different reasons. But I absolutely agree with the very valid points made!

I love them both, but Disneyland has my heart, in a way that Disney World never will.

I am the same way! My first love will always be Disneyland.

Also that picture of the raptor had me cracking up! I have never been so scared in my life as I was on that ride. I loved it so much I had to do it again

I've only been to DLR, I believe 8 separate trips, 9th coming soon.

I've heard mixed feelings about WDW, and frankly I don't have much interest. Walt has been an idol of mine since I was young and DLR holds a special place in my heart because he put his stamp on it.

I'm not sure which I'd pick, but I'm a little surprised that the exterior of Anaheim's small world didn't get a mention...

Or a mention about the weather? Coming from a girl who practically grew up at Disney World and now lives in California, that's in the top ten reasons people give as to why they live in California. Same difference for the parks!

I agree! The one time I was at WDW (it was in September), I kept checking the weather in Anaheim and saying, "It's 20 degrees cooler there! Why are were here??" I've never been so hot and sweaty in my entire life.

Yep, the weather was not mentioned. And they forgot to mention the Aladdin show. And they did not mention that many of the rides which have the same name are better at DLR.

As for the opposite article on why WDW is better, I think they got it mostly right. Except I still do not totally get Epcot. I admit each time I go it grows on me a little bit. I have seen Illuminations four times and IMO it is overrated. Compare it to WOC. Not even close.

Thanks for sharing.

I have been to WDW about 5 times. I just booked my first Disneyland trip last night! I am so excited to see the differences in the two parks.

Someone mentioned the weather being a perk. What is the weather like in mid-March?

I was dying over the Old Spice guy and Epcot.

I was not a fan of Epcot until recently- it did grow on me, and now I love it 2nd best behind MK at WDW.

I think both articles are right on--- I love both equally for different reasons (ha- I'm a mom, can you tell?)

DL has grown on me with reflection after my recent trip. I'm going back in January and then to WDW in Feb, so I'll get the best of both worlds- and lands!

FWIW, I would take WDW weather in March over DLR. DLR weather wins May-October. But when DLR wins on weather it wins by a lot. When WDW wins as in March it wins by a little. My two cents.
