Looking for a nice hotel between PA / Niagara Falls

We're doing a quick road trip to pick something up in PA.

We'll probably have our kids with us (they're 8 and 10).

Where can we stop overnight - we prefer something nice, a suite perhaps.

Any suggestions for a really nice hotel along the way?

Where in PA are you going? What makes a hotel "really nice" to you? We've stayed at several 4* hotels when DH has been traveling for work that are really nice, but would get really expensive if we were staying with the kids. When I'm traveling with the kids, perks like free breakfast or a sports court/ home theatre room to entertain them are much appreciated. While those things make a hotel a good one for us, others might not classify the hotel as "really nice" because they don't include an upscale restaurant/ bar.

Also, are you looking for a hotel only or for more of an attraction? Splash Lagoon is in Erie PA. It has several hotels attached. One is a Residence Inn if you are looking for larger accommodations.

We are only going to PA to pick up a package.

But perhaps we'll go to Hershey since we have the kids.

Nice to us = very comfy beds, amazing service, nice decor, and a swimming pool would be a plus. So yes, we prefer upscale.

Unless you say where in PA you are going no one can offer any advice.

Where in PA are you going? Picking up a package from......? Like all else have said, until people know where in PA you are headed, no one can offer up an answer. PA is a big state. If you are picking something up in say, Erie PA, and now your talking about staying in Hershey PA, that is around a 5hr driving distance. Kind of a waste of gas for 'just picking up a parcel'.

We need details to help!!!

PA is a pretty big state so depends where you are going? We recently stayed in Harrisburgh, PA on our way to Virginia Beach.

O.K., never been to PA so please forgive me.

I guess close to Erie, although I can have the package sent anywhere.

How close is Grove City to Erie, never been there either.

We just came back from the Erie area last week. Our choice is the Hilton Garden Inn. Very close to the highway and very nice overall. Great breakfast buffet and there is a Cracker Barrell right next door.

You can always visit Splash Lagoon. Not as big or nice as Great Wolf Lodge, but fun nonetheless.

Agree Erie and Hershey are at opposite ends of the state. I think Hershey from the GTA is about 8 hours away (we went a few years ago and it was a hike) Erie is much closer.
