There were all kinds of interesting tumbles and somersaults. At some stage I wondered if they were thinking that they had entered a gymnastics event. When Canada scored, this came completely out of the blue. The second half was complete edge of the seat stuff. The goals came hard and fast and soon the two teams were tied at 3:3. The game went into overtime and it looked like this would go to penalties. In the last minute of stoppage time after the extra time had been played, USA scored another goal and ended up winning.

I had an amazing evening and the atmosphere was spectacular even though the stadium was only about a third full. I am so glad that I went.

and in my world it's still summer

And in mine! I am still teaching summer classes!!

A few of the private schools in our area will go back next week, but 85% of our school systems still go back after Labor Day.

Corinna, what fun! I saw the ending of that game on TV, how amazing to see it in person. I have had to pry myself away from watching the Olympics, have been enjoying them very much.
