What are your favourite Orlando restaurants?

We will be staying at Sheraton Vistana Villages (I-Drive) and looking for some restaurant options. We're open to all types of foods, any suggestions?

Thanks!

If you want some good, inexpensive family restaurants ... We like the Chevys at Crossroads. On Tuesdays, kids eat free. There is a Chilis close by to Vistana.

For real cheap meals, there is Steak N Shake close by, and All-you-can eat pizza at CiCis. Coupons for both can be found in all those Orlando booklets.

I realize all those choices are chain restaurants -- but we don't get them in Canada.

If you have a vehicle and want to try some awesome Mexican food, I would try Agave Azoul. They have a Facebook page or you can look up their address on Google....being from Canada, we do not have any mexican restaurants that even approach this one.....it is very very good and moderatly priced.

If you want a really good steak dinner go the Charlies Steakhouse.....keep in mind that as with other high end steakhouses, it is expensive.

Enjoy your trip!

Another vote for Chili's and Cici's.

Also wanted to add in TGI Friday's and Olive Garden. They are two family favourites that we try to squeeze in on every trip to the USA.

Golden Corral is another one to consider. For value and fussy eaters, it can't be beat for price and selection. Not my favourite choice when there are TGI Fridays, Olive Garden and Chili's to be had, but my 16 year old thinks the place is like a small corner of heaven. Kids love the Chocolate Wonderfall (a chocolate fountain where you can dip marshmallows, cookies, fruit, etc.......my poor hips ).

Had some really good experiences at the Golden Corral (Lake Buena Vista location). Relatively inexpensive and food was actually not bad! So easy to feed the kids at a buffet...

Golden Corral
8707 Vineland AvenueOrlando, FL 32821, United States

Then another gem that I learned through Disboards is Sweet Tomatoes. Lots of fresh and tasty options. If you're looking for pounds of roast beef, chicken, ham, etc., this is not the place for you - but it's such a great change to the deep fried and protein heavy foods. One of the must-go places for us during any visit.

Sweet Tomatoes (Crossroads Plaza)

I also thought golden corral was a great option and also "Sizzler" just gave you an inexpensive yet many options especially for kids and the food was pretty good if not better than some of the more expensive places. We even went back twice on our last visit.

Thanks for all the great ideas! On another site I also saw recommendations for Logans Roadhouse, any experiences with this chain?

For off-property restaurants herre is my list of favourites:

Medieval Times (awesome dinner show and foods is good)
Buffalo Wild Wings
Ponderosa
Chik-fil-A (for fast food chicken sandwiches)
Waffle House (far better then Denny's or IHOP for breakfast)

Zimmie's (on Vistana) was good last time we were there, but that was a few years ago

Avoid:
Cheers - it's a dive, food was horrible, drinks were okay though
IHOP - IHOP in Hawaii is always great ... in Florida it's always been bad
Rio Mexican Grill - it's about as Mexican as Taco Bell, but they do have good margaritas

For on-property restaurants, I recommend:

Victoria & Alberts (expensive but by far the best food we've ever had, and we've been around the world)
Earl of Sandwich (in Downtown Disney so easy to get to)
