Need quite a few pins for trading

I know there are sellers of scrapper pins out there. But is there any place you can buy legitimate "lots" of pins at a discounted price? If so, how do I find them? Let me explain: I have collected pins for quite a few years but I hate to trade them. This leads to quite a bit of cash outlay as I am always finding pins I can't live without! Now, I have a 7 yo granddaughter that has become addicted also! She is willing to trade hers so I can save a little there, but I need to purchase some for both of us to trade to get the ones we really want. Any ideas? Purchasing them at $8 each became really expensive on our last trip (I spent over $600 on pins, some yto trade off and some to keep when I couldn't find the ones we wanted on cast members lanyards!).

Can anyone help with ideas? We ended up with a few scrappers and I don't want to do that to others.

Anything that is a generic lot of pin is scrappers most likely. I took the pleasure of creating a ebay search for you to dwindle the scrapper sellers. They are so pathetic I hope they go to jail. I seen a couple scrapper sellers who sell on ebay in the newpaper and they had large crates from asia and they are getting their jailtime right now. grr angers me! Anyways, I would say that if your getting a lot of pins and they are under $2 per pin then there is a chance of scrapper in there. I usually pay $4+ per pin. I know its expensive but I rather authentic pins of course. The big the lot, the better the deal, usually, depends on the pins of course. I tried to win an auction of 144 pins and bid $425 but of course it sold for like $500+ so there are crazy people out there and they all want authentic pins as well. Anyways, good luck and here is the link: Ebay Disney Pins

How do you tell the difference between scrap sellers and legit sellers on E-bay? My son would like to sell off his collection, and it would be nice to get more than the $1 a pin that most lots seem to sell for. I went through his collection and pulled out the ones I couldn't verify and the ones that were listed as scrappers.

The Disney Store Outlet in the Woodbury Commons Outlets in NY historically has 4-pin sets for $10. If you call them, they may ship them to you. (845) 928-7550

We have a similar problem, all three kids collet and hate any up. We've looked and found clearance pins online at Disney store, try to buy when find them and stock up for next trip. You can get $2-3 pins if patient. Still some outlay but much better than $8-10 a piece.
